The cottage is in a stunning location, the veiw cannot be faulted. It was a lovely hideaway for the two of us for a few days and is very secluded and not overlooked. The path up to it is quite steep but manageable. It is well equipped and cosy once the heating is on. (We went in Feb! )

The walk to the cabin is very steep if you have any chest or mobility issues. No food storage only the fridge. But you cannot get away from the fabulous views and the peace and quiet.

We had a lovely time at the cabin, the Location is beautiful and so quiet even with the bird song and sheep bleating. The view from the cabin deck across the valley is breathtaking. The shower pressure is amazing, hot water straight away and plenty of it. The walk up to the top cabin is steep so be prepared, the lane to the location is challenging Read moreshall we say, very narrow that only one car can pass at a time. Would recommend for short stays. Quirky cabin, great location, beautiful view but very basic. It could be more comfortable and cleaner. Lacking in finishing touches like details of local businesses, etc. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend.

We had the best time at the woodland retreat. The location is ideal, with some amazing hikes on your doorstep. The uphill trek to hay bluff is well worth it for the views. The small woodland next to the hut is full of character. The hut has wifi and heating. The bed was super comfy and we slept well throughout the trip. The hosts were very nice andRead more always responded quickly to our messages. Thanks so much. We would love to stay again. Hide

Amazing position! Quite a steep hill to access, with sheep for company. Hay on wye is a friendly, vibrant town with a relaxed vibe, would recommend, shopkeepers friendly and chatty, lots of cafes and thursday market was great.
