The stable conversion is set in an elevated location with far reaching views across the countryside, with The Three Choirs walking trail literately on the doorstep. Close to the vibrant market town of Newent and the historic market town of Ledbury which are both well served with shops, pubs and restaurants. The International Birds of Prey Centre is in the village and welcomes visitors. The Forest of Dean offers excellent family days out with Clearwell caves, a steam railway, and Puzzle Wood. Visit Go Ape at Beechenhurst which has everything from adventure activities to cycle hire, or the city of Gloucester with its wonderful cathedral where Harry Potter and the Beatrix Potter were filmed. Monmouth and Abergavenny are under an hour away where there are wonderful castles and places to visit.

This single storey stable conversion has its own fenced area within the owners’ farm where you can enjoy the views from this peaceful location. As you enter the house you can take a seat on the old church pew to remove your boots after a day of exploring. To your right you will find a utility room that is well equipped for muddy boots and coats with a washing machine installed. To your left, beyond the entrance hall is the main living space which is beautifully finished in a contemporary style and warmed with underfloor heating and a wood burner. It is here that you can sink into the large sofa or an armchair to enjoy a movie on the Smart TV with Netflix or DVD player. There is a pleasant dining area where you could eat quietly or catch up with friends. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, large oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The wide oak topped breakfast bar and stools are perfect for keeping the chef company or enjoying a simple breakfast. When the day is done you will find the two bedrooms down the hallway. The master bedroom has a king size bed with wall mounted TV and DVD player, and a well-appointed shower room with wash basin toilet and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 has two 3’ single beds also with wall mounted TV and DVD player. There is a shower room off the hallway with wash basin toilet and heated towel rail.

Outside there is a landscaped area with two large patios with tables and chairs where the guests can relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. There is a charcoal BBQ and storage for bikes at the farm. There is allocated off-road parking for two cars and the whole area is enclosed.

We had a fantastic break in this beautifully presented property and the host family, who live on site, were really friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We visited Gloucester, Hay on Wye, Hereford and Ludlow all about an hour drive away. The name says it all. This is an immaculate, spacious and comfortable cottage retreat in a peaceful, location with far reaching views, glorious sunsets and numerous immediate walks.

Excellent property for dog owners ( entrance and utility room ideal ). Spacious open plan with 2 bathrooms. If you want peace and quiet with walks outside the front gate this is for you. We stayed at Hudgemoor Retreat for four nights at the end of August and the accommodation was first rate. Very clean with great facilities for us and our two teenage children. The bedrooms were a good size, with an ensuite shower room to the main bedroom and a shower room across the hall from the twin room. Plenty of storage for clothes. This is a beautifully kept, comfortable home. The owners are welcoming but not intrusive. The area is lovely countryside, with easy walks in the immediate vicinity as well as easy access to the Forest of Dean and other attractions. there are goats in the adjoining field which are a constant source of entertainment.

The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. It was a great location for visiting Gloucester, Hereford, Cotswolds and Wales. Shame we only had a week but will definatelybe back.

this is a lovely cottage, really clean and very comfortable. Everything is nicely done, for example i noted that the bed linen is from a good quality company, and the mattress is super comfortable. The cottage is very spacious in the open plan area, with an inside dining table, breakfast bar, sofa area and kitchen. Fabulous comfortable cottage in a tranquil setting. Lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Great for outdoor activities in the Forest of Dean and lovely walks on your doorstep ,along with having plenty of shops within a 30 minutes drive if needs be.

A lovely holiday home located in a beautiful quiet location at the end of a country lane. The cottage had every facility needed for a short break. It was clean and comfortable.
