Had a really lovely stay here. The location is lovely and quiet. We were there during a recent heat wave and the accomodation was lovely and cool owing to the building structure. The bedrooms were a good size, the living/kitchen space was larger than I thought, plenty for a family or two couples. Very novel to stay on a farm and see all the cows aRead morend sheep in the fields. It was a great location for the Monsal trail, only took about 15 minutes to get onto the actual trail itself from the door of the accomodation. It's close to Buxton, a little over 5 min drive to a supermarket, we stocked up on bits we needed before arriving so didn't need to make additional trips. Was about 20 min drive to Chatsworth House, and Bakewell if you wanted to visit there. We also went to Linacre Forest, I'd definitely recommend that if you've not come across it, was a nice 5km shady walk around some resevoirs, think that was a bit over 30 min drive froim the accomodation. Water pressure was fine for the shower and plenty hot enough,(it does take a little while in the morning for the hot to come through, it's not broken) WiFi was fast enough. Would happily stay there again to use as a base if visiting the area again. Hide

Really lovely cottage. The place was cosy, clean and warm. We were pleasantly surprised by the pack of biscuits to welcome us after our long journey. The cottage is well equipped with washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, gloves and other little extras that made our stay all the more comfortable. Highly recommended!

The cottage was warm and cosy when we arrived in the dark. It had everything we needed and is in an ideal location for exploring the Derbyshire Dales. So lovely to feel out of the way on a working farm.

Lovely cottage, up side down house so you get the views in the living room. Great position, close to lots of places. But nice and quiet. Monsal trail opposite the end of drive and lovely river walks as well. Our dogs loved it! Thornbridge estate is worth a look. We did the house tour, which is very interesting. Nice gardens and cafe as well.
