Winster is a charming village nestled between Matlock which is a mere 5 miles away, boasting dramatic limestone scenery, a lovers walk and the Heights of Abraham. Bakewell which sits at just over 6 miles away, with lots of cafes, restaurants, of course the famous Bakewell pudding and cobbled streets to wander. The heart of Winster has its historic market square, lined with quaint cottages and traditional stone buildings. The village is home to several historic landmarks, such as Winster Market House, a Grade II listed building, and St. John the Baptist Church, which dates back to the 12th century. Walking enthusiasts can embark on some great walks, including the famous Limestone Way and the scenic trials of Stanton Moor. Or why not visit one of the fabulous large houses, with both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall sitting about 8 miles away from the cottage.

Walking inside the hallway, there are two beautifully appointed bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, and the living room and kitchen are on the first floor. Both bedrooms have a good amount of storage and beautiful throws and cushions. The immaculate glossy bathroom benefits from a shower over the bath, with spotlights in the ceiling. Walking upstairs you are met by exposed beams, a wood burner in the living room, and windows overlooking the attractive tree lined patio area. There is a dining table and wonderful deep window seats, which makes for the perfect place to perch and watch the world go by with your favourite book. The cottage boasts a lovely bistro style dining area located within the kitchen, offering the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and welcome in the day with views of the cottage lined street. The kitchen itself is well-equipped with modern appliances, ensuring that you have everything you need to whip up delicious meals during your stay.

Outside there is a wonderful patio with seats to enjoy the garden, which boasts mature plants and plenty of space to sit back and relax, either with your morning coffee or a refreshing drink in the evening.

Such a cute upside down cottage. Lovely area thats quiet and peaceful but lots of nearby walks. The cottage is very small but suited the two of us very well. The shower is amazing and the beds were super comfy! Host was a 10/10 and let us check in early with lots of great communication running up to it. Thanks for a lush stay! :)

A super, cosy and well-equipped cottage, with an open fire which we loved. The village is very quaint and perfectly situated to visit all the surroundings sights. The cottage was right in the middle of this sleepy village. With a couple of pubs and local shop for all those extras, within 200m. The cottage was very characterful and comfortable, it was ideal for getting away and hunkering down in front of the log burner and a glass of wine.
