This was our third stay at Ivy's Shop and it was up to its usual very high standard. The hosts are welcoming, the cottage is spotless, quiet, and very well equipped and comfortable. We are glad we discovered Ivy's Cottage and look forward to further stays.

Cottage very clean and comfortable. There are walks into the Forest direct from the property. Ivy's Shop is well situated for bus services to Gloucester, Monmouth and Ross, which have the added bonus of beautiful scenic journeys through the Forest.

We spent a wonderful week staying at Ivy's Shop, which was very clean and comfortable with all we needed. Coalway is a good base for exploring the Forest of Dean, with walks on the doorstep. We also recommend visiting the Sculpture Trail at Beechenhurst and walks around Mallards Pike.

Ivys Shop was extremely clean and well equipped. We had a lovely week there with so much to do in the area. Walks from the door in to the forest, Colefords GWR museum, multiple town trails in Monmouth and lots more to do next time. It was a bit chilly in the evenings and the cottage is very warm. Excellent all round.

Lovely building in an amazing location. Short walking distance to local shops and pubs and only marginally longer into town. Forest on the doorstep, and loads of nearby attractions. And to top it all, the hosts are fantastic.

Beautiful property, ideal for a couple or, as in my case, a solo occupant. I have never seen a holiday accommodation so sparkly clean. Bonus was a proper bath, not just a shower, fabulous for soaking arthritic joints!

Space was lovely, well presented and clean throughout. The little touches such as providing a small amount of milk and some local goodies were greatly appreciated. The owners were very friendly on my arrival and happy to talk about the area as well as the property. My only warning is that I found Coleford to sadly be light on restaurants for eveninRead moreg meals, the options for breakfast and lunch were great but be prepared to cook or travel by car for dining options.
