  • Spacious and contemporary single storey annexe with private hot tub
  •  A great location with easy access into the Forest of Dean, Wye Valley and Welsh Borders
  • A haven for walkers with direct access to the surrounding countryside
Property code: OC-82884

This gorgeous annexe enjoys an enviable location, with stunning, far-reaching views across the horseshoe of the Severn Estuary. Located on the same site as Horseshoe View Cottages and quite literally on the doorstep of the Forest. Just 50m from the property you can enjoy lovely walks, taking in the flora and fauna such as bluebell woods and Highland Cattle in the nature reserve. Deer and wild boar are most likely to be seen earlier in the morning or towards the end of the day. Take advantage of the Forest activities, from miles of cycling trails to suit all abilities, to the River Wye for canoeing and kayaking. For the more adventurous, rock climbing and abseiling are on offer, not forgetting the zip wire and Ariel Adventure park. For those craving cultures and relaxation, Gloucester is less than 15 miles away. Visit the Victorian Docklands, take a stroll through Gloucester Cathedral grounds, and don’t forget the Quays for a lazy lunch and shopping.

The annexe itself has a separate entrance to the side of the main home. The entrance hallway offers space for storing muddy boots and coats and provides access into the main living area. The open-plan lounge/diner enjoys lots of natural light from large, glazed doors; a great space for you to relax on the sofa or armchair in front of the good-sized TV whilst a small table and chairs are perfect for a simple supper for two. The contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. And when the day is done, accessed from the main living space, there is a double bedroom with a good-sized en-suite shower and WC.

To the rear of the annexe, there is a spacious table and chairs together with a BBQ for alfresco summer dining. For cooler evenings, the chimenea or patio heater will extend your time outside and having spent a long day walking, hiking, cycling, or enjoying a myriad of activities offered in the Forest of Dean, why not sit back, and relax for a few hours in the spacious private hot tub. The property is easily accessed and offers off-road parking for one car and storage for bikes.

The Hideaway is cosy and well equipped. The location is ideal for exploring the Forest of Dean and other nearby attractions. The secure on-site parking is a bonus. We didn't use the hot tub but can appreciate many people would enjoy it.

Nice cosy cottage, all you need including hot tub. Although we didnt use hot tub, as we felt it wasnt private enough for us. The surrounding walks were nice.

A number of issues with the facilities and the bathroom which was frustrating. Hopefully these can be rectified. Great location for local walks and we felt safe.
