An entrance hall welcomes you into the building, which has an interesting beamed vaulted ceiling. We had a lovely 4 night stay at Thornseat cottage. It is well located, making many popular peak district locations easily accessible - we went on some fantastic walks around Bamford edge/Ladybower reservoir, Mam tor and Padley gorge. Equally I highly recommend the 3 mile loop around Dale dike resevoir that you can see from your window! Would definitely recommend! Hide

A lovely and cosy little cottage set in a beautiful part of England - it had everything we needed and we were well looked after by the hosts. Walks straight from the door; whether you're looking for gentle potters around the reservoirs, or more challenging walks up on the moors. Several excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants in the local vicinity.

This was our second visit, it is a great place, well equipped and very comfortable. The owner had the heating and lighting on which made walking in a delight and very usable straight away. Make sure you have sufficient food for the weekend as shops are a car drive away. We will be back.

I have photos of all of the above issues. It was such a letdown for this property which is why we cut our stay by a day. On the plus side it cannot be faulted for its location and distances to any local amenities etc. parking the lounge area was very spacious (although it needed a lick of paint) together with a large modern TV and broadband, and coRead moremfortable bed. Had a wonderful, relaxing week in the cottage. Some lovely walks on the doorstep, next to a road but incredibly quiet. The neighbours bleat occasionally, but on the whole are quite sheepsish :D Cottage is well equipped and the bed was amazingly comfy.
