Lovely cottage , nice location ideal for a nice relaxing week away with the dogs. Especially liked the fact that there was an area opposite the cottage where we could walk the dogs first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

This was our third visit to High Lands Cottage. We find it very comfortable and relaxing, and we love the area. There's plenty to do if that's what you want but we tend to use the week to recharge our batteries. Lots of great eateries within 15/20 minutes drive. We have a fondness for the Burtree Inn (huge portions so take an appetite). The welcomeRead more baskets for humans and dogs were both greatly appreciated by all and Louie and Bounty had a great time as well. We'll def be back. Hide

This cottage was perfect for us and ideally located for good places to visit including Raby Castle and Hamsterley forest. The Cross Keys in Hamsterley is a good place to eat but if you want to eat in then all main Supermarkets are within easy reach. We were a little concerned about the parking on the road but it was never a problem

This property is the ideal location for anyone wanting to explore the West of the county, the cottage itself is spacious and well equipped, the welcome hamper left by the owners was very thoughtful, only drawback was on street parking

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we loved it. It was almost like coming home. A peaceful little village, but very handy for the many places to visit in the area.
