Offering attractive and comfortable accommodation on one level, this bungalow is situated close to the quiet coastal spot of Colwell Bay, a wonderfully sandy beach suitable for paddling and swimming. With many scenic walks to Totland Bay, Alum Bay, The Needles, Tennyson Down and Freshwater Bay, this is the perfect place to explore or relax and unwind. No need to venture too far to find an attractive cafe, bar or restaurant with lovely views across the bay. Hop in the car to nearby Yarmouth with its wider choice of restaurants, cafes and small shops, perfect for exploring with boat trips or fishing excursions available. A golf club and sports centre can be found in Freshwater – only a short drive away.

Upon entering the bungalow, there is a charming king-size bedroom with dressing area, TV/DVD and en-suite shower room with shower and WC. The second bedroom is a pleasing twin with TV/DVD, and easy access across the hall to a lovely tiled bathroom with a shower over the small bath and a WC. A third WC can be found in the cloakroom. The kitchen has an oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine. There’s a separate utility area with a tumble dryer and space for placing boots. The inviting lounge has a flame-effect electric fire, Smart TV/DVD and patio doors opening out onto a delightful conservatory-style dining room with oak dining table and chairs. This insulated room can be enjoyed all year round, helped further by heating for the cooler months and window blinds to shade it during the warmer summer months.

French doors open from the conservatory onto the pretty garden, home to a variety of shrubs. There is a large raised patio area with outside furniture to enjoy some al fresco dining, as well as a summer house to escape the sun. (Please be aware that the main garden is accessed by five steps with a rail and there is an unfenced drop of 29 inches around the garden) Bikes and canoes can be stored in a gated and covered area, and there’s off-road parking available for up to three cars.

Bayside is one of the best properties we have stayed in. It was not only clean and comfortable but it was equipped with everything we could possibly have needed. A really lovely bungalow. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Garden was nice with table and chairs for outdoor eating weather permitting and lots of colourful containers and hanging baskets. There was also a lovely summer house. Nicely situated for the sea and beach and touring around.

We had a lovely comfortable stay in Bayside Cottage. Everything we could possibly need was supplied. This is an excellent location for visiting the West Wight area and if you don't want to drive, there is a reliable bus route a short walk from the property. We are very glad we have already booked to return next year.

Moyra is the most welcoming owner l have met in a very long time. She supplies al the necessities, body lotion and wash tea bag coffee herbs salt/pepper washing tabs and washing up liquid ,milk and a welcome pack. All of this cuts down on things you need to take. We really enjoyed our stay at Bayside. It was perfect. The bungalow was so well equipped and the the location is a 5 minute walk to the beach. There are lots of attractions within easy reach. The weather was beautiful and so were the sunsets. We appreciated the welcome wine.

We had a superb winter break at Bayside. It is in an excellent position on the coastal path and yards from the sea as well as being in very easy reach of local amenities and public transport. The bungalow is beautifully presented, a home from home.

Amazing week! Moyra popped to see us shortly after arrival and made us all feel very welcome. As previous reviews state the house is immaculate and very clean. Like no previous guest has stayed there. Lovely comfortable beds and plenty of space. Clear instruction throughout the house so settled in very quickly. I have stayed at this bungalow 8 times,that says it all. I have stayed in self catering cottages for over 35 years. This accommodation is by far the best. Words can't describe how good this place is. Owner and her team are very caring and so much thought has gone into the presentation of this bungalow.
