This perfect family bolthole is set in a peaceful location on the fringes of the pretty village of Niton. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with a network of routes leading directly from the property, this is the ideal base for days spent rambling or cycling. Why not take a trip to St Catherine’s Oratory where you can take in the panoramic views or paddle in the clear waters of Steephill Cove. The nearby bustling village centre has a great selection of local amenities, or you can visit one of the many popular towns and villages that are within easy reach, including Ventnor and Godshill, where you can treat yourself to a delicious cream tea.

On entering the cottage, you are met with an inviting entrance hall, which is the ideal spot to leave muddy boots after long country walks. Straight ahead is the light and bright dining room, which has doors leading to the garden, ideal for long, leisurely meals. Just next door is the inviting lounge. This is the perfect spot to relax at the end of a day spent exploring, as it has a Smart TV and a wood burner to snuggle up beside. Heading through the lounge you will find the stylish kitchen/breakfast room, this well-equipped space has a traditional range master oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Rising from here are the narrow and steep cottage style stairs, which lead you to the first floor where you will notice vaulted ceilings peppered throughout, adding to the character and charm. You will find the bedrooms on this floor where you can choose between the pretty king-size bedroom, charming double or the cosy bunk bedroom, all of which are decorated with care and share the contemporary bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, here you can take a soak in the bath or enjoy a refreshing shower.

Heading outside to the rear from the dining room or kitchen there is a pretty enclosed garden, with a patio and views over the down land beyond. To the front of the property is a lawned area, an enclosed pond and outdoor play equipment including a trampoline, swings and slide. With a further patio area and a charcoal BBQ, this is the perfect place to spend lazy afternoons together. To the front of the property is an off-road parking area suitable for two cars.

We had a wonderful week at Reeth Cottage. The owner got in touch before & after our stay & was very helpful & informative. The cottage is beautiful, in a lovely quiet location & was very clean. It is probably the best equipped self catering cottage we have stayed in, especially when it comes to things for young children. Lots of books & games, as wRead moreell as kitchen utensils, stair gates, potties, the owner has thought of it all! Lovely garden with play equipment as well. Hide

Superb location in a peaceful rural setting with walks aplenty and easy access to local shops, cafe & restaurant/pub. The cottage is well furnished and lacked little in amenities and equipment. However, the stairs are steep and narrow and could prove overly challenging. Worth noting too that the driveway is rough tracked and with an elevated gravelRead moreled parking area at 90 degrees to it; both features make it unsuitable for vehicles with low ground clearance. We were very impressed by the high standard of the accommodation. The kitchen was really well stocked, the beds were very comfortable and the decor was of good quality and well thought through. We had a lovely stay.
