The World Heritage Site Durlston Country Park and Castle are local too, only a 5-mile drive down the coast.
This picturesque semi-detached ivy-covered cottage is well placed in an area of heathland, is sea-facing and has beautiful views of the harbour at Poole. The property has a stone roof made from local Purbeck stone and has attractive leaded windows. The cottage dates from the 1920s and was designed by Herbert Collins, a renowned British residential architect who was involved with the Garden City Movement. From the front path of the property leading to heathland and a short walk to the beach; to the back garden overlooking farmland and the Purbeck Hills, you are surrounded by nature at every point.
Upon entering the property, the hall has a beautiful quarry tile floor and a storage area for coats. The sitting/dining area is light and airy benefitting from triple aspect leaded windows and double doors leading into the garden. The sitting area also boasts an inglenook style fireplace with an open fire, perfect for cosy evenings in; comfortable furniture and a selection of books and games for additional entertainment should the weather be typically British.
