What a wonderful place - the perfect location for enjoying the Dorset countryside, with the Cerne Abbas Giant just down the road, Dorchester only 10 miles away and Weymouth less than 20 miles away. A beautifully turned out chalet with a veranda at the back looking out over the meadow, which hosts a variety of wildlife including roe deer; a wood burRead morener for cosy evenings; wi-fi and a TV with all the usual streaming channels if the weather's too bad to venture out; and a lovely, cosy bed. The accommodation was a converted cow barn with a veranda running in front of 3 properties which was shaded and overlooked a small field. It was very peaceful watching the deer, bats and wrens. We had breakfast outside every morning and dinner twice. We were very lucky with one quiet neighbour and one empty property for most of our stay, we never chRead moreoose accommodation which is adjoining others. Sadly our last night the 2 bed property was occupied and had visitors sat outside, so not peaceful! Hide

Stayed in Tinker ( The Hide ) for a week in mid-September. The cottage was pretty much perfect. If there had to be a negative, it would be a lack of storage for any food stuff you may have brought with you ! It was very peaceful and just what we were looking for and we would recommend to anyone .

It was so lovely - beautiful setting and comfortable, owner very welcoming. Property fully equipped , clean and very serene. surroundings. Perfect all round, would certainly recommend again and again. Not sure if a suggestion of games / cards may be a good idea. Other than that the only suggestion I have is to return again.

What a wonderful week I have had here. It is done to a very high standard and very clean. Everything you need from cooking utensils etc. The view at the back was stunning with fallow deer everyday. Lots of wildlife especially at dusk with bats, tawny owls and short eared owls. Cant wait to go back next year.
