Less than a quarter of a mile from a tea room and less than a mile and a half from the pub, you are well served by places to visit for a taste of local food and drink. Pop out for some brunch before visiting the local carving of George III on horseback etched into a chalk hillside nearby. If you are after scenic routes and wildlife spotting, the surrounding area is home to RSPB Lodmoor and several beaches. On summer days, Weymouth Beach is a particularly popular spot amongst families for its gently sloping shore and soft sands. Lay back on a towel and let the sunshine wash over you.
Open up the front door and let your holiday begin. With the property split across two floors, the ground floor is home to the living areas. The cute and cosy lounge will be a fast-favourite amongst all the family, complete with two sofas, a TV and a wood burner. Leaf through one of the books provided as the fire crackles away or choose a film for everyone to watch. Across the hallway, an open-plan lounge/diner offers a homely space for meals at home. Switch on the Hi-Fi or turn on the kitchen’s TV for the news. With a sofa, a dining table and a breakfast bar, there is plenty of space for everyone to take turns helping out and relaxing. For meals throughout the day, the kitchen is equipped with an oven, an electric hob, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster. There is also a dishwasher and a tumble dryer provided, as well as a downstairs bathroom with a walk-in shower. Up the steep, cottage-style stairs, you’ll discover three bedrooms. The first is an attractive double with a sleigh bed and a feature wall, the second is another light and bright double and the third is an inviting twin. So that everyone has enough space to get ready in the morning, the upstairs has another bathroom, this time featuring a bath with a handheld shower.
Outside, a high-walled, gravelled courtyard garden with seating and a BBQ beckons for sunny afternoons. On street parking is available outside the cottage.
