One of two converted stables in this peaceful village gifted with open views of the countryside hills. Aislaby is a small village with a traditional pub where you can head for an evening meal or lunch after a long walk. Venture towards the wonderful seaside town of Whitby just over 3 miles away, boasting a number of tourist attractions, such as the 199 steps to the historic Whitby Abbey, dating back to the 7th century and offering magnificent clifftop views. Take advantage of your exceptional location, where a plethora of scenic walking and cycling trails await, including the famous Cleveland Way, The Wainstones, Ingleby Incline, and the North York Moors Railway. From Whitby, you can follow The Cinder Track down to Scarborough (21 miles from the property), home to its own glorious beaches and an impressive castle, as well as the amusement parks of Luna and Alpamare, an excellent golf club, a sea life centre, and the historic Rotunda Museum.

Step into this recently upgraded conversion set out on one level, boasting plenty of natural light from the skylights. The cottage is part of a complex of two and is the ideal base for a family or group looking to explore the Yorkshire coastline. Hang your coat, take off your walking boots and head into the large well-equipped kitchen where you can create a light snack or hearty meal before heading to the dining table to partake with your guests. The lounge has comfortable seating with reclining armchairs and a Smart TV; it’s the perfect spot to sit back and relax with your loved ones. Off the lounge, slide the door to reveal a lovely double bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Off the hallway, there are two further bedrooms, another double room with an en-suite shower room and WC, and a twin room with its own WC and hand basin.

Heading outside, there is a large, enclosed, shared yet divided courtyard, where you can enjoy a BBQ or simply lounge on the sun beds. Guests are invited to roam the owners' fields down to the meadow where you can enjoy a tranquil picnic watching some local wildlife.

Excellent property. Our second visit and we hope to be back. The owners, Peter & Cheryl, really care and are most welcoming. The parting gift of a goody bag is a lovely touch to round off the perfect holiday.

We were very impressed with the high standard of furnishings, cleanliness, space, position, quietness, the bbq and the courtyard which was a sun trap. We were welcomed by a lovely fresh smell as soon as we entered the cottage. Another lovely touch was the large airfryer. The welcome pack and flowers were appreciated as an extra touch. This is an excellent well-equipped property with friendly and generous owners. We were well supplied with cake, biscuits etc, both on arrival and leaving. We were attending a wedding and the owner even offered to pick us up afterwards! We intend to return.

Wonderful! Spotless, comfortable, very well equipped, in a beautiful quiet location yet very close to Whitby. As near to perfection as one could reasonably desire. The owners really care for the comfort of their guests. Our best holiday cottage in forty years.

Overall the property lived upto the 5 star rating from previous visitors. However the lounge has seating for only 4 which was a serious issue for our party of 6. Given the nature of the conversion it is not possible to have windows open in the bedrooms.
