This house has never been lived in by the owners otherwise they would have corrected some glaring problems. The cloak room door doesn't latch and every time you open the back door the wind blows the inner door open. The down stairs toilet was the same. `door doesn't latch properly and the privacy lock won't latch either. The bathrooms have nowhereRead more to put anything. No small shelves, no hooks on the back of the door for clothing etc. The front gate latch is broken and the iron gate just sits open. The bedrooms have very minimal storage and insufficient for anyone staying more than a couple of days. We are away for 6 weeks and had nowhere to put most of our clothing which had to stay in the cases. If someone takes the time to detail this property properly it would rate fairly highly. Shame the small steeple, which from the photos is a major attraction, has been closed off, never to be seen again from inside. I would recommend this property to a friend if the items mentioned were fixed. It is not a simple `yes or no. Hide

Gorgeously refurbished chapel in the beautiful North York Moors. Good location for trips out to Whitby, Pickering, Thornton Le Dale and walking from the village itself. Village pub was closed during our stay, which was a shame, but otherwise a great 4 day break.
