Located in the popular town of Wooler, this charming cottage is ideal for exploring the spectacular coast and glorious countryside of this tranquil and picturesque part of Northumberland. This fabulous cottage welcomes a family or group of six not forgetting two well-behaved dogs. The cottage is situated just a short 3-minute stroll from the centre of Wooler, offering a wide range of shops, dog-friendly pubs and restaurants as well as a wealth of regional history and culture such as the recently opened ‘Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum’ and whiskey distillery. Wooler is widely regarded as the gateway to the Cheviot Hills. Family explorers, walkers and cyclists will be delighted with the many local trails around the Cheviots, Glendale, St Cuthbert’s Way and of course the stunning Northumberland National Park, a designated area of ‘Outstanding National Beauty’. The National Park provides some of the most spectacular walking in the country with its vast expanse of grouse moors, where splendid solitude awaits. The beach at Bamburgh on the stunning Northumberland coastline is perfect for family fun. Visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne or Berwick-upon-Tweed for its history, culture, shopping and restaurants or travel to the Ford and Etal estates for a full day out and to ride on the steam train.

Enter the cottage into an inviting lobby where you will find space to store your outdoor clothing and shoes. Head through to the open plan kitchen/diner which has everything you need to prepare and enjoy a family feast. From the dining area step down into the cosy lounge, with Bi-folding doors this room offers extensive views over the rear garden and brings the outside in on a summer’s day. After a long day exploring sit back and relax on the comfy sofas while you watch the sun go down over the hills before settling down to a film on the Smart TV. Off the lobby (from the entrance) you will find a family bathroom with power shower over the bath, WC and heated towel rail. Next door there is a pretty double bedroom with ample storage and dressing table. There is an internal hallway off the dining area where the two additional bedrooms are accessed via four steps. The master bedroom has a TV, views across the garden and en-suite shower room with WC. Across the hallway you will find a comfortable twin bedroom with ample storage. There is a handy utility room which is accessed from the rear patio and houses a washing machine, sink, tumble dryer and beer fridge.

On a summer’s day, throw open the lounge’s bi-fold doors to allow direct access into the spacious, fully enclosed garden with grassy areas and a furnished patio. You’ll never forget al fresco evenings spent dining out here.

A beautiful three bedrooms cottage with the most gorgeous back garden! Two cars spaces in the front garden which was a bonus; the rooms were immaculate, modern and so very cosy. Wooler is a really lovely village with a variety of independent shops, catering for all, plus a Coop and some lovely cafes and pubs. The surrounding countryside is stunningRead more and so accessible to the main places in Northumberland. Would highly recommend Chevy Cottage and will be returning. Hide

A well-equipped holiday home with a beautiful back garden, and lots of outdoor seating. Great location, only a short walk to the high street, ample off and on road parking. Comfortable furniture and plenty of hanging and drawer storage in all three bedrooms. In general, cleaning standards were good. Overall, a pleasant holiday home.
