Make the most of your location within the picturesque village of Starbotton, nestled within the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. An idyllic retreat, truly a paradise for walkers and cyclists alike, with a welcoming pub and shop within walking distance awaits you. Sitting within easy reach of the famous Three Peaks, just 20 miles away, the stunning grounds of the Bolton Abbey ruins, 17.5 miles away and the Settle to Carlisle railway, 22 miles at its closest point. The equally attractive villages of Kettlewell, Arncliffe and Grassington also sit close by.

 

 

As you step into this 17th century property, you'll immediately feel at home thanks to exposed stone walls and oak beams throughout. Downstairs is home to a generous lounge, with the roaring wood burner at its heart, creating a tranquil oasis to retreat to following a day outdoors. Across the hall is the traditional cottage kitchen, full of light and all the amenities you'll need. The character dining room is the central room of the cottage, boasting a feature wood burner and grand dining table. A secondary reception room/snug can be accessed from the dining room, offering a secluded space to retreat to. Make your way upstairs to access all four of the tastefully finished bedrooms, as well as a sizable family bathroom. A secondary shower room with WC is located on the ground floor. What's more, you'll also find a games room, perfect for hours of fun for the entire family.

 

 

Upon stepping outside, you'll be greeted by a south-facing garden comprising of a large lawn and patio space, complete with BBQ, so you can settle down for warm evenings in your beautiful surroundings. This property offers off-road parking for up to four vehicles.

We had a wonderful weeks stay at Croft House with our 3 children in the Easter holidays. It was our first time staying in the cottage and Im sure it wont be our last as it was just perfect! The cottage is like a home-from-home - very clean, comfortable and so well equipped. We loved the open fire in the evenings and the kids loved the games room. IRead morets so well located for exploring places like Grassington and the local village pub is excellent for dinner options. Highly recommend! Hide

Croft House is perfect. Set in beautiful gardens and in an idyllic location. Beautiful walks nearby. Fox and Hounds pub only a couple of minutes around the corner, where there is always a friendly welcome and fabulous food. House has everything you could need. Warm, comfortable, spotless. We had a really lovely holiday in this cosy cottage. It is well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The gardens are delightful, and secure for dogs. The countryside views are typical of the Yorkshire Dales we got some great photos and the cottage is well-placed for walking, cycling and visiting local points of interest. This property is situated in a beautiful dale, its charming character, beautiful large enclosed garden and history make for a great break. So much attention has been put into the finer details from its book to the bird feeder attracting a wealth of birds! We also really enjoyed the games room. Cottage was lovely. Everything you need. Quite a few walks from the cottage to Kettlewell and Buckden along the river. Many places to visit such as Bolton Abbey and Malham Cove definitely worth visiting, a lovely area. Great pub Fox and Hounds in Starbotton and the Bluebell in Kettlewell both serve excellent food. Would stay here again, thank you

The cottage is not only beautiful, in a glorious peaceful, setting, it is immaculate and equipped with everything one could possibly need. The rooms are spacious, with wonderful views. Lovely cosy cottage with everything we needed, in a great location. Lots of walks directly from the cottage. It was a cold, crisp, sunny week, with thick frost almost every morning and snow only on the last morning. Loved watching the sun coming into the valley and gradually melting the frost before we went out for amazing walks. Warm welcomes and Read moregreat lunches at the Racehorses in Kettlewell, the Buck in Buckden and the George in Hubberholme. Helpful owners, would return for another holiday. Hide

Fantastic cottage, really well equipped, cosy and with a great garden. The views from the front are superb. So many walks direct from the property and the local pub is dog friendly and does great food.
