This prestigious area is home to some of the New Forests best loved attractions, including the motor museum, abbey and palace house in Beaulieu, or perhaps explore the rich maritime history of the region and take a visit to Bucklers Hard, which is set beside the river. Local amenities can be found in the centre of Beaulieu village and there is a wide network of walks and cycling routes running nearby, enabling you to easily explore the picturesque landscape that this area is known for. Why not get out on the water and take a river cruise or head inland and explore one of the many attractive villages nearby

The property is accessed via a long, shared gravel driveway. Adjacent to the owners home yet with privacy assured, the entrance to this charming cottage is via a small path from the parking area. Once inside you are met with a pretty open-plan kitchen/diner, which has a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. Heading further into the property you will find a spacious super king-size bedroom that has been decorated with care. Just opposite is a stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Stairs lead from an inner hallway to the first floor, and the lounge. This characterful room has vaulted ceilings, a wood burner and smart TV. This inviting space is the perfect place to relax after a day spent exploring as it has a sofa bed and an additional single cabin with porthole (each suitable for a child). A door leads from the lounge area to a balcony with wonderful views over the countryside a perfect spot for birdwatching or stargazing. A useful utility space can also be found in this room, which houses the washing machine.

Heading outside via the kitchen door you will find the garden. There is an area to dine on the lawn and parking for two vehicles on the adjacent gravel driveway.

Absolutely lovely, perfect location made our engagement feel very special. The host was wonderful and very welcoming, the little welcome gift was lovely. Clear instructions were left for us and explained upon arrival. We would absolutely love to stay again in the future.

Sophie was such a welcoming host and this location is beautiful. The thing that let it down was a lack of enough hot water to have a good bath or shower . The water pressure is low and the shower was just the hand held type from the bath taps . perfect for two people and fantastic location for numerous cycle rides and walks just pop to the village and park up you are literally on the heath. Weather good for October half term and Sophie was a lovely host. Very friendly and there if needed. Already missing those beautiful views. Will certainly be back.

We had a really lovely stay at little Purnel with our small dog. The cottage is in the most beautiful grounds. It is an absolute joy to sit out in the garden and take in the views. Unbelievable location. Down a quiet lane, into private grounds, silence awaits, maybe birdsong or insects can be heard but little else. Deer, hares, pheasants at your doorstep. New Forest ponies and Donkeys just minutes away. The owner is brilliant and a great source of information. We loved it.

This was our second time staying at this beautiful cottage. It is so cozy and has everything we needed for us and our little girl. The cottage is in a brilliant location, ideal for exploring both the New Forest and the south coast. The owner is in the property next door and gave us lots of excellent recommendations. Although it was located in the grounds with the owners house, it still felt very secluded and private.
