Forming part of the owners’ home, however providing its guests with a good degree of separation, this character-filled annexe is situated directly within the town of Fordingbridge, which boasts many pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. Less than 4 miles away, you can visit the superb Breamore House, an Elizabethan mansion that has an abundance of history attached to it. There is also a beautiful Saxon church to visit that is the oldest in Hampshire. Or why not take a trip to the coastal town of Lymington (22 miles) to enjoy fish and chips by the famous Lymington Pier and watch as the yachts anchor? The medieval City of Salisbury, with its 123m-high spire and an original copy of the Magna Carta, is around 10 miles away. A few miles outside of Sailsbury, you will find the legendary Stonehenge (10 miles). The seaside town of Bournemouth and Poole harbour, with its boat trips, are both within driving distance (18 miles) and well worth the visit.

Entering inside the annexe, through the patio doors, with impressive views of the River Avon into the spacious lounge with plenty of seating, a Smart TV and flame effect electric fire. To the left of the living room is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. To the right of the lounge is the up a small step, you’ll be met with a large bedroom, complete with ample wardrobes and again, another stunning view of the river which can be enjoyed from the comfort of a king-size bed. At the rear of the living space is the cosy country-style kitchen with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal.

With a fully enclosed garden, complete with patio furniture, enjoy a drink and a BBQ whilst watching the wildlife as they travel down the River Avon. Furthermore, the property boasts a jetty where you can enjoy fishing all season, accessed by your own private gate. There is parking for 2 cars outside the property.

Very comfortable and well equipped annex. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog Lindy who enjoyed looking at the ducks and swans with their cygnets. The weather was not kind in the second half of our week but it was still enjoyable visiting the dog friendly areas and eateries.

Lovely accommodation, perfect for exploring the New Forest area, well equipped and with a much appreciated generous welcome pack. Very nice owners who are equally happy to give guidence or just leave you to your own devices. There was more to see, I will be back, hopefully in 2028!

We had a peaceful, relaxing stay here over Christmas. The owners were very welcoming and gave us a Welcome Pack which was lovely. They also checked a couple of days later to ensure we had everything we needed. The location is great for access to the town and the New Forest, as well as the coast. Nice location, spacious lounge and bedroom. Lovely enclosed garden overlooking the river. A short drive takes you into the new forest. Had a lovely stay, hosts were friendly and welcoming but left us to our own devices. The Annexe was very comfortable and felt like home from home. Loved the location with everything you need right on your doorstep but your own private sanctuary to retreat to. Husband enjoyed fishing even though he didnt catch anything he saw a kingfisher!

Just got back from a lovely stay at the Annex, it was home from home in content cleanliness, the welcome pack was much appreciated and the owners are lovely, so helpful and accommodating, the ducks were a bonus and actually ate out of our hand , so cute, the garden is a sun trap and we spent most evenings out there with a bottle of wine and Vera ouRead morer greyhound laying on the lawn. What a lovely annex. It has everything you need. Went walking in the forest and visited heavy horse centre and watched a movie at the local Regal cinema. Husband thoroughly enjoyed the fishing from the bottom of the garden. Would definitely love to go back again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Riverside Annex. It was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed. Enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, and afforded a lovely view of the river. Fordingbridge is a lively town with shops, pubs and cafe's within walking distance, and perfect location for both the New Forest, Dorset and Wiltshire.

Friendly accommodating hosts who give lots of information to begin with but then respect your privacy. There 2 large German shepherds are separate from your area so youre in a small contained garden :-) Very close to the forest, beaches and has a lovely high street. Super location on the edge of the New Forest and a short walk into town. Fordingbridge has lots of necessary amenities - The George pub does a fabulous Sunday roast. Lots of places to visit with a 30 minute drive. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and well appointed with anything you might need. A generous welcome pack.

Lovely property ,in a great location. Entrance to property is fairly steep , so might be a problem if people have mobility problems. Hosts lovely and they provided a good welcome pack.

Our second visit to River House Annex -ideal for us and our two dogs. Well equipped, clean and tidy, and the welcome goodies were well received. Good eating places close by. We love this area - the New Forest, and not too far from nice dog friendly beaches (e.g. Hengistbury Head and Mudeford). We would certainly recommend the accommodation.
