Situated in the charming hamlet of Ulwell, on the outskirts of Swanage towards the fashionable Studland Village and Bay. Swanage is a traditional coastal town with a popular sandy beach and a great selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Rolling hills surround the town, ensuring you’ll have the best of both worlds when it comes to walking routes, with the South West Coast Path, Ballard Down and Durlston Country Park all within 2 miles. From here, you can take the steam train to Corfe Castle, which is home to castle ruins cared for by the National Trust, as well as pretty streets to explore. Within 14 miles are many attractions including Monkey World, The Tank Museum, RSPB Arne, the walled town of Wareham, and abandoned Tyneham village. Old Harry Rocks and Studland Village are walkable from the cottage which offers direct access onto the South West Coast Path.

This 17th-century Mill cottage has recently been lovingly restored, keeping original features, to offer beautiful accommodation for the whole family to enjoy. Enter via the front door into a spacious hallway with space to hang up the winter coats and muddy boots. Arranged over four floors, take a few steps down into the master bedroom with a double bed, an en-suite shower room, and French doors leading onto the rear garden. On the ground floor, there are two further bedrooms and a shower room. On the first floor, there is a snug for those cosy evenings in front of the log burner and a Smart TV, with a picture window boasting views across the open countryside. Up to the second floor, where the wow factor is the double-height open-plan living/dining/kitchen room with stunning views over the rolling countryside towards the sea in the distance. This well-equipped room offers space for the whole family to relax on the comfy sofa in front of the open fire or gather around the dining table at meal times.

Outside, there is a Purbeck Stone walled garden which is laid to lawn with terrace area, outhouse utility room with washing machine and dryer, and separate outhouse with an outdoor shower and storage.

The cottage is beautiful. Very elegantly decorated. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, as was the cottage generally. Great location for all the lovely places in the area.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Toys and games for children. Great views from all sides. 15 minutes walk to the beach and easy access to paths to Ballard Down, Old Harry Rocks and Corfe Castle.

1 Mill Cottages is a comfortable, spacious property which makes an excellent base for a Dorset break. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well-appointed. Its a lovely, relaxing place to stay with great views of Ballard Down from the upstairs living area windows.

Lovely house in a beautiful part of Dorset. Walks from the house and a bus stop outside. Mill Cottage is immaculately decorated and very spacious. Great views from all the windows! Would highly recommend.

A fabulous stay at mill cottage. My husband and I loved the lower ground floor bedroom with garden access. Blissful mornings with the doors open and listening to birdsong. Mum wowed over her bathroom on the main floor. Aesop toiletries - fab. I loved reading in the snug. We enjoyed sharing time on the top floor, savouring the views and evening mealRead mores. This is a beautiful cottage perfectly located for Swanage and Studland. Comfortable, warm and beautifully decorated with a modern kitchen and stylish shower rooms. Lovely bright, airy, comfortable cottage. Good standard of equipment. Quiet, even though close to road. Recommend. Easy to get to Swanage & a few mins drive to Studland Bay beaches.

A lovely and well presented modern interior that belies the traditional stonework. Really comfortable and fantastic showers!! Especially when you have a hot sunny week like we did Close to the Ulwell Campsite store and pub/restaurant which was excellent and only an undemanding walk into town. A lovely house. Ideally situated for Swanage and surrounding area. Bus stops right outside and the nearby Village Inn with store and recreational facilities is very close. Hence, you dont have to use a car all of the time.
