We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, pleasantly situated and well equipped "home from home". The Welcome Pack was extremely generous and appreciated! There is WiFi, which was a bonus, and we brought a Firestick for more choice on the TV. The location was all we hoped for, with great dog walks and wildlife on the doorstep. A cosy cottage in beautiful and quiet surroundings. Everything you need is there, including a huge welcome pack! The lovely village Blanchland, with a good tearoom, is close by. Also Stanhope with its shops and railway station. We like to come back!

We visited during very good weather so were able to fully enjoy the outdoors, sitting out in the twilight until 11 pm. It was also a fantastic location for our dogs who could wander freely and were fascinated by the rabbits and birdlife. If you're used to city living, the cottage is quite remotely situated so this is either a huge plus or might proRead moreve slightly disconcerting. The host was amazingly thoughtful in every way and inside was very clean, comfortable. We felt very welcomed indeed. Hide

Charming cottage. Welcome pack did what it said on the tin. You could make a great meal of eggs bacon beans on toast when you got in. Remember remoteness of shops when you go. Great walking from the door.
