This stunning house is only five miles from the historic market town of Richmond and its historic castle, and close to Catterick Racecourse to enjoy a day at the races, Catterick prides itself on being a friendly racecourse and provides a fun day out for everyone. Close to the Yorkshire Dales home to outstanding scenery, great castles, abbeys and a breathtakingly peaceful atmosphere, worth a visit at any time of the year. A great place to hike, take a stroll, cycle, exercise the dog or just enjoy the large open spaces. Further afield you are approximately 45 miles from the seaside resorts of Saltburn by the Sea, Staithes and Whitby. With so much to see and explore you will want to return time and time again.

Enter into a spacious hallway with beautiful wooden floors and gorgeous staircase leading to the first floor, tinkle the ivories of the piano positioned in this bright and inviting space. Off the hallway to the left is the impressive large dining room table that seats 12 people, perfect for a family get together. Off to the right of the entrance hall is the cosy lounge to enjoy a good book in front of the open fire, a board game with friends or family or simply unwind after a busy day and watch a film on the TV/DVD. At the end of the hallway you will find the kitchen with an AGA , electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, larder fridge,  microwave, and`Sheila Maid ` ceiling clothes airer,  breakfast bar and a door leading to the inner hallway with Yorkshire Stone flagged floor, separate WC, coat hooks, boot rack, and a lovely ground floor double bedroom. A door leads to the side entrance to the outside of the property. Further off the inner hallway is the galleried garden room with door which lead out to the garden where you can plan where to explore the following day. Off the garden room, a door which leads to the utility room with washer/dryer and a door leading out to the parking space and garden. Heading upstairs you will find four double bedrooms, two with an en-suite shower and WC, and one twin bedroom. On this floor, you will find the bathroom with roll top bath, separate shower and WC. Also on this floor you will find the galleried office space with two steps down, a child’s safety gate is in place to this area.

Heading outside you will find an off-road parking space for two or three cars with roadside parking nearby for additional cars. Enjoy the stunning garden, pick the fruit from the trees if you are lucky enough to visit at the right time. The garden is predominantly  grassed and has a patio with table and chairs, a further table and seating area is available to enjoy outside dining with a charcoal BBQ.

Please note, the garden quite large and not fully enclosed so dogs and children would need to be supervised at all times.

Had a fantastic weekend away with the family celebrating my dads 70th birthday. Great facilities and in a stunning location. Decor isnt modern but suits the style of the property and its features. Catterick village is lovely and the house is in a beautiful setting. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equiped. It was clean and tidy on our arrival with a useful welcome basket. The host was helpful, informative without being intrusive. All in all, it was a lovely week.

Brookside is everything you could want in a holiday home . A beautiful large house with a lovely big garden, perfect for children and dogs . A gorgeous setting and walks from the house. A host who makes you feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this property.

What a lovely location! The Beck with all the ducks and ducklings was great. Hop skip and jump to the local pub - where we were made very welcome. We would have liked to use it more but we had so much we wanted to do in the North York area we ran out of time. Three generations of family all had a super time here. The house was superbly located, with the beck on the doorstep a real bonus, as was the garden. There are some lovely walks from the house. It was a great size and the garden room was a real bonus and sun trap. It was very clean and all the bedding and towels spotless. A great home in a beautiful location. Three generations of family meeting up for our annual weekend away. The beck was a huge hit with the kids (be are to bring wellies). Local shop in walking distance and also the pub and local takeaways - all very handy! Clean throughout and a lovely welcome basket of goodies. Thank you once again!

A very spacious property, ideal for large family gatherings. The property had everything we needed for our stay including books and toys for children, even outside racquets etc for the garden. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The owner who lived next door was very friendly and helpful.

A good centrally based location for our extended family break, we enjoyed being able to host guests for a family meal, with capacity in the kitchen for all. Enough space for the children to enjoy and plenty of routes for dog walks. Driving to Yorkshire Dales and Moors for extended walking was in reach. Thanks Darcy

We had a really great stay at brookside. Really helpful host who had great contact with us in the run up to our trip. Took the house to heat up after a boiler issue in the run up to our stay but problems happen and space heaters sorted things out where needed.

Spacious accommodation, well appointed and was perfect for our group. Particularly liked the downstairs layout, giving seperate areas for socialising but still being connected. Garden was a big bonus and the location was convenient for the village amenities and with easy access to the road network to explore the local area.
