Lovely cottage on edge of New Forest. Great location for walking my dog. New Forest at end of path. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, pillows and sofas. Shower enclosure is small but manageable for a weeks stay. Enclosed garden, which was good for my dog, and a nice seating area at the side of the cottage. Visited Beaulieu, Lymington and LyndhRead moreurst as well as a lovely dog friendly sandy beach. Shops, cafe, restaurants and pub are on the doorstep. Only negative, as mentioned in previous reviews, is the access road to the cottage which is at the rear of the shops. It was very tight driving a 4 wheel drive past the large bins from the shops and on more than one occasion had to get out of the car to move the bins, which are heavy, to enable me to drive by. A small car would be fine. There are a few large potholes but fine if you drive slowly. Hide

Very well located property for a trip to the New Forest. Ideally the bathroom would be upstairs and the shower would be bigger but we managed on a long weekend. Great enclosed garden for our dog. It is good value for money.

We experienced various issues during our stay. The bathroom was mouldy as were a few other places around the cottage. The property on arrival was freezing cold, we found dirty plates in the cupboards, hair on the place mats and floors, crumbs in drawers, dead insects in light fittings. The other reviews make mention of a small shower and the back alley to approach the property with industrial waste and potholes. Hide

The cottage is perfectly placed to walk into the forest and also access the train station. You do have to access the property at the back on the parade of shops and squeeze past the bins and potholes. The Happy cheese Pub was dog friendly and the staff were so helpful and food great. Great takeaways on your door step. The Lounge and beds were very Read morecomfortable but the bathroom and kitchen are in need of a makeover as the shower and sink were very small and very tired. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage, it's located down a bumpy lane, shower on the small side and small sink, just a small walk and your in the new forest with plenty of ponies to see, pub and takeaways close by and a co op just down the main road.

With the recommendation mentioned it would enhance the property The description on the advert was slightly misleading by someone. The coach House Lyndhurst is incorrect and should be in The Coach House Ashurst Nr Lyndhurst.

Lovely cottage - very conveniently placed for eating out in the pub and takeaways - a bit frugal with welcome pack hand wash and toilet rolls - shower needs a bit of getting used to as very small - not sure how 4 people would manage there - but for two just ok

Firstly, not in Lyndhurst. In fact an hours walk away. No shops, only pubs and takeaways. Oil cans, cones and potholes lead to this house is located behind local industrial. No views. No washing machine, no washing line, no stairgate for dogs and none offered. No toilet upstairs. Very steep stairs and not recommended for anyone with mobility issuesRead more. Shower tiny and sink too small to barely wash your hands. Garden unkempt and untouched this year by the look of it. Security light on the landing Hide

We had a really lovely stay, the Coach House has everything you need for a base to access The New Forest. Very comfortable and relaxing environment, and easy access to the Forest a short walk away. The lockable bike shed was very useful and the dog accessories offered was a thoughtful touch.
