Head into Exeter to potter in the independent shops, dine out and visit the cathedral and castle. Venture down to the beach at Budleigh Salterton to picnic and dip in the sea. While you are here, take a stroll through the River Otter Estuary Nature Reserve, looking out for an array of wading birds, as well as otters and even beavers, which have been reintroduced. Keen walkers may wish to strike out along the scenic South West Coast Path. Dartmoor National Park, 19 miles away, with its spectacular landscapes, fabulous footpaths and roaming ponies, makes a superb day out for lovers of the great outdoors. Close by, you’ll find Topsham, Darts Farm, Greendale Farm Shop, Lympstone, Honiton, and Branscombe—each offering their own unique charm.

Before heading into this inviting rural retreat, take a second to appreciate its sleek exterior design and the seemingly endless countryside that surrounds you – setting the scene for a peaceful stay. On entry, you'll be greeted by a contemporary studio-style space that combines a handy kitchenette with a cute dining space and sleeping area. The kitchen boasts all the basics needed for cooking up light holiday meals, which can be enjoyed at the fold-out dining table or alfresco on the scenic private patio. When your eyelids start to droop, pull the curtains back to uncover your restful double bed, which sits in the corner of the room. Completing the pod is a well-appointed wet room with a shower and WC.

When the sun shines, spill out onto the inviting patio, where outdoor furniture sets the scene for scenic morning coffees and star-lit evening meals. Highly recommend staying here! The place was small but perfectly designed to have everything we needed, it was extremely comfortable and high quality. A small kitchen with everything we needed to cook some light meals, a lovely wet room bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. The location was lovely too, very quiet and peaceful, and a lovely meadow tRead moreo explore, and a nice pub and amazing farm shop just a short walk away. There were other cottages on the same grounds, but they are all positioned so you get your own privacy. Hide
