You may decide not to use your car all week but if you want to explore further, Bude is conveniently located for touring both Cornwall and North Devon, and family days out could include visits to The Eden Project, the delightful fishing villages of Clovelly, Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Rock and Padstow, Bodmin Moor, and numerous National Trust properties.

Step inside this stunning, newly built ground floor apartment and you will firstly find yourself in the entrance hall where you can decant outdoor clothing after a day exploring the coast or country. Then head further inside into the beautifully light and airy open-plan living area. This fabulously sociable room boasts a cool and contemporary look with a comfortable L-shaped sofa, Smart TV and a dining area providing the perfect venue for laid back meals overlooking the water. Sea Lock is superbly maintained, is comfortable and clean. The instructions and further communication with the owner were excellent. With a pub only a stones throw away and the Town centre just a ten minute walk, the location couldn't be better. We enjoyed walks on most days but our favourite was along the cliffs to Widemouth Bay and back along thRead moree canal towpath, about 6 miles. The apartment, on the ground floor, is right alongside the canal which makes it an excellent vantage point to enjoy the ducks floating past. The canal does get busy and there were numerous canoe classes taking place during the time we stayed. You have a front row seat on the patio to witness the children grappling with a new skill under the watchful eye of an often exasperated tutor shouting his instructions! Good fun. We did venture out of Bude just once, to the NT site at Lanhydrock, about an hour away and well worth a visit. The weather could have been better but it didn't stop us from doing what we wanted. A wonderful property and location to use as a base. For us - access to flat walks was a real bonus. Something interesting happening on the canal each day - especially the goslings. We've stayed in Bude many times and used some great holiday lets - this one equals if not betters - places we've stayed in before. Owners sent out an excellent PDF Read moreof the property prior to our holiday week - extremely helpful and well laid out with useful information - thank you. Parking was a deal winner - and good space for larger cars. Would we recommend? - Already have! Hide

We spent a weekend in this apartment. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Ground floor, so no stairs or lift, with a terrace overlooking the canal. Good walks directly from the property, and good access to all parts of Bude, the beaches and the sea pool . The owner provided excellent information about the property and Bude.

Beautiful apartment in superb location. Fixtures and fittings of a very high quality and everywhere spotless. Lovely patio area overlooking the canal. Added bonus of a car parking space. Lots of places to visit and some lovely restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

This is a fantastic apartment. Can't wait to return for another visit. The view from the windows of the river are wonderful. Enjoyed the ducks, geese and swans, always being fed by walkers along the paths opposite. So easy to walk to the town centre, do shopping, visit the castle and walk the headlands. Great modern clean comfortable apartment all on 1 level. Parking close so not far to carry bags. Nice location . Quiet until the kayak lessons start but fun to watch. Near to walks by canal and 15 mins walk to beach. Terrible weather for us meant we didn't manage as much walking as hoped but close to coastal path when you can walk.

Lovely apartment with a good seating area on the patio giving a nice view over the Bude canal. Short walk to the shops, restaurants and beach of the town - we found it very convenient. Easy walks from the door to the canal and to the coast (with lovely views). A very enjoyable stay.
