Tyddyn Bwlch is a beautifully restored, detached stone farmhouse in a secluded, elevated location above the village of Ganllwyd in the Coed y Brenin forest, with wonderful panoramic views of the forested hills and Cadair Idris mountain range. There are mountain biking trails virtually from the door, walks and waterfalls within the immediate vicinity and some wonderful bird and wildlife spotting opportunities – including Red Kites, buzzards and rare pine martens. The historic market town of Dolgellau is 6 miles south, and Trawsfynydd 9 miles to the north.
The farmhouse has been extended and restored to the highest specifications, with slate tiled floors and underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, and solid oak flooring upstairs, exposed oak beams in the original part of the house, and a wealth of oak, staircase, cupboards, doors and other fittings hand-crafted by a world-class, award-winning local carpenter! Radiators upstairs, wood burning stove and an open fire in the sitting room, WiFi (speeds can be restricted in this secluded rural location) and phone (very limited mobile signal).

This is an ideal location for an active holiday, enjoying the great outdoors. The Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre is a short drive from the house, but some of the mountain bike trails pass close by the property. The nearby market town of Dolgellau has a regular Farmers' Market, small theatre, independent retailers, pubs and other eating places. Good walking and off-road cycle routes along the Mawddach Trail from Dolgellau, or around Trawsfynydd Lake. As well as wonderful mountain scenery, South Snowdonia also has a wonderful coastline with several long, sandy beaches and popular seaside towns.
