Perfectly positioned, this barn conversion offers the best of both coastal and rural living. Nestled on the Devon/Cornwall border, it is flanked by Dartmoor National Park to the east and Cornwall's Atlantic coastline to the west. The immediate area is dotted with charming villages and various attractions, such as Roadford Reservoir, just 6.5 miles away. The close proximity to the Cornish coast is a significant attraction for visitors, whether they prefer lounging on Bude's sandy beaches, exploring the picturesque fishing village of Boscastle, or delving into the legends of King Arthur in the enchanting town of Tintagel, all within a 22-mile radius.

The light and cozy living room, featuring exposed stonework, is an ideal spot to unwind before preparing a delicious supper in the kitchen area. Alternatively, you could let someone else handle the cooking and head out to the local pub. If you choose to stay in, you can relax on the front terrace and lawned area, soaking in the stunning views. On the opposite side of the barn, enjoy a morning coffee while basking in the sunshine. Upstairs, you'll find a beautifully styled bedroom with vaulted ceilings, exposed stonework, and a comfortable super-king-size bed. For small families, there's an additional day bed, perfect for a smaller guest. From the window, you can enjoy the countryside views, and on a clear night, you might spot a star or two through the skylight above. There's also a contemporary bathroom making it perfect for a soak after a long day exploring.

Heading outside, enjoy a small, enclosed area with garden furniture, perfect for dining alfresco on those warm summer evenings. There is access to seven acres of grounds with two lakes stocked with carp, you are welcome to fish at this part of the river, named Netherbridge Court. There is also a paddock with sheep next to this, to immerse you into the countryside way of living. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this property which is ideally located to explore Cornwall and west Devon. The property itself is beautifully decorated with all of the household necessities needed to enjoy a self catered break. We were particularly impressed with the provision of EV charging points as we had recently purchased an all electricRead more vehicle and so this was a god send for us. Hide

The cottage was lovely, every detail that you would need were taken care of. The hosts were accommodating and helpful there is enough to do on site although we used it as a base to get to areas in Devon and Cornwall.

Great location and surroundings in a lovely converted stone barn. Great for dogs as the surrounding fields are fenced off. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and there are a couple of places that will deliver food if you prefer. The wifi and TV all work well. Nice touch with an electric heater concealed as if it was a hanging picture. WashingRead more machine/drier and dishwasher sealed it for us. Hope to return soon. Hide
