We chose this cottage for its location as it gives easy access to Penzance and Marazion areas. This cuts out queuing in traffic in the Hayle / St Erth areas. On arriving we found the cottage lovely and clean with good quality equipment. Sitting in the outside area the view of St Michaels Mount is superb. Lovely well equipped cottage, with great view of St Michael's Mount, and great location for exploring that area of Cornwall. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We are a couple from Germany with a one year old toddler who haven't been to Cornwall before and we weren't sure what to expect, so posting this really is intended to help you with choosing this property. The things I was afraid of beforehand: that it might smell musty (stone cottage), that you don't have enough privacy because the owners live nexRead moret door, that everything's old and run down (the sofa didn't look that convincing on the pictures). The things we got: no musty smell, fresh flowers (thank you!!!), top notch bathroom and kitchen (to put it with my husband's words: the kitchen is fun to use), absolute cleanliness and thus a wonderful play area with a thick carpet for our toddler, a fantastic view, a really good location (almost everything we wanted to visit, including English supermarkets ;) was just a short drive away). We thus cannot but recommend the cottage for a couple/ a couple with a little child sleeping in the same bed. We miss it already and are already thinking of possibilities of returning soon. Thank you, Chris and Angie! Hide

Chris the owner was really nice helpful with directions. For us the barn was an ideal location with great views and very clean and comfortable. The location is good for driving and getting the bus into seaside towns. The walk down to Marazion is about 30 minutes would definitely go back to the same location.

The cottage is a former barn, with an excellent view from the terrace on the Mt. St. Michael, we loved it! While the view is really marvelous from the terrace, the wind was not ideally positioned and brought quite a noise from the nearby quasi highway. We would still recommend this lovely barn! Overall we would recommend the property the views are lovely & the outside area is a bonus but the traffic noise was a surprise as the property is quite isolated & the noise was constant day & night. The property is in excellent order & comfortable. We enjoyed our stay it was a good base to explore the surrounding area. Fantastic view of St Michaels mount, 20 mins walk to Long Rock , recommend walking through field to foot bridge across A30 , other footpath more direct but have to cross the A30 on foot , it felt quite dangerous although actual crossing. Must try Fish Chowder at the Cuttysark in Marazion! Book or be disappointed.
