This pretty barn conversion is set within a ten-acre farm, with horses, close to the owner's farmhouse. Nestled along a private lane, in a peaceful location, it is a perfect base for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, yet be within easy reach of Cornwall's most popular destinations and both coasts.  Positioned on Bodmin Moor, a paradise for walkers, you are surrounded by dozens of footpaths and bridleways.  Heading to the south coast you will find the harbour towns of Fowey and Polperro within 11 miles, and to the north you can visit Port Issac (famed in the Doc Martin TV show), try fish and chips at Rick Steins in Padstow and enjoy the rugged coast path and top surf spots at Polzeath and Newquay. Also close by the world famous Eden Project, several National Trust properties and cyclists will enjoy the trails at Cardinham.

On entering this impressive property you'll notice the original features such as exposed beams and slate floor. The beautiful stone fireplace is now home to a cosy wood burner (for which a starter pack is provided) which guests can enjoy from the comfortable leather sofas - perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, while streaming your favourite films and TV shows on the Smart TV. The separate dining room is just off the lounge, through a set of double doors, whilst less formal meals can be taken at the breakfast bar in the kitchen. The kitchen is well-sized and equipped with electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and Nescafe coffee machine, plus CD player/radio. For added convenience, there is a handy boot room located next to the kitchen, with a Belfast sink and WC. Completing the ground-floor is a handy shower room. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: one double and two twins, one with 2'6" single beds. The family bathroom is also upstairs featuring a shower over bath, wash basin and WC.

Outside, guests will find the private hot tub, whilst the property also benefits from an enclosed patio area with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ.

This was our second time staying at this property and were already planning our third. Its extremely clean, comfy and spacious - ideal for 2x adults, 2x young children and 1x spaniel. Due to its central location, theres so many places to explore too. Hot tub is obviously an added bonus.

We have had a fantastic week, the cottage was in a great location, quiet and secluded but still within easy reach of all the locations we wanted to visit. The hot tub was great and perfect for winding down in the evenings after our days out exploring. We really enjoyed our stay at Bracken Cottage. The cream tea on arrival was vey welcome. The owners are on hand should you need them but not intrusive. The hot tub was wonderful. Bracken Cottage is ideally situated to visit the north and south coasts of Cornwall. Fabulous walks nearby, and Lanhydrock (NT) is on your doorstep. A perfect base for our week stay - very quiet location with lots of walks in easy driving distance. Properly rural Cornwall. Nigel welcomed us and showed us how to use the property and hot tub (we loved the hot tub). 5mins drive from tennis court and a cafe. Great to have the back garden which was a good sun trap. The red carpet was rolled out ! What a fantastic venue, The owners /hosts couldn't have been more welcoming or hospitable. We had a fantastic time at Bracken Barn. It was easy to find - only 10mins off the A30 and approx 25mins to an array of beaches and quaint villages. The barn itself was very clean and had everything we needed to holiday with two young children. The horses in the paddock opposite were very friendly and the hot tub was a bonus too. Beautiful property and location, all thought about, missed nothing, attention to detail is great, super location and lovely hot tub. Dogs loved it also! Owners couldn't do enough to help (we were purchasing logs on site for the fire) they decorated for my mums birthday also! Really great place can't recommend enough!

A wonderful cottage in an idyllic setting. The owners had provided a cream tea for us on arrival which was delicious! The cottage had everything we needed and when there was an issue with the TV, this was rectified the following morning. We'd love to visit again and would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage with friendly & helpful hosts. We were a group of 4 adults with 2 small dogs. Everywhere was nice and clean. Really lovely cottage. Well positioned for dog walking from the premises. Cottage was cosy and comfortable. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Hot tub was a real luxury - really enjoyed it. Great location to explore the north or south coast. A30 only a couple of miles away. Highly recommend.
