A Beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated chalet. The owner was easily contactable and two minor problems resolved immediately. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property and hope to return.

Lodge 37 - Obvious, poorly maintained guttering outside main bedroom made a loud horrible creaking noise every few seconds for 5 of the 7 days/nights. Made it stressful and impossible to sleep, or stay in main bedroom. This effected our holiday and was a distraction. Despite complaining about the issue on the 1st morning, response from owner wasRead more inadequate. 2 further messages needed to get him to respond on 5th day. Lodge was not sufficiently prepared for our us as holiday guests.

RESPONSE FROM HOLIDAY COTTAGES - we are sorry to hear that your holiday was disturbed; there was an exceptional weather event prior to and during your stay and this blew debris all around the site, including the guttering on the lodge. The owner did offer to come out to you straight away but this offer was declined. We can confirm that the guttering has now been cleared and the storm debris and damage has been rectified, thank you for bringing it to our attention.

This property is literally in the middle of nowhere. The nearest supermarket is 15 minutes drive away, but it is only a very small sainsburys like a Sainsbury's local. The walk down to the beach is extremely steep and the way back up is very difficult. We only did it once. There is no shop onsite, no games room, and the pool is only free once a dayRead more to use. Otherwise you have to pay. Also have to pay for the gym which is not what's stated in the description. I wouldn't recommend.

RESPONSE FROM HOLIDAY COTTAGES: We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. The site has great facilities, the pool is open 7 days a week and guests can enjoy one complimentary session per day. The gym is additional cost. as described. There are several shops within five miles and the site benefits from a bar and restaurant. Hide
