Property code: OC-KT074

This property enjoys a wonderfully tranquil location at the end of a no-through road in the quiet Norfolk village of Ingoldisthorpe, lying just 3 miles inland from the coast overlooking The Wash. The nearest beach is in the neighbouring village of Snettisham and is a shingle beach which is home to an abundance of wildlife. Further around the coast, to the north, the seaside resort of Hunstanton offers a sandy beach alongside an excellent range of amenities and attractions, including shops, restaurants, and a Sea Life centre. To the south of the property, meanwhile, the stunning Sandringham estate welcomes visitors during the summer months of the year and is a wonderful destination for a day trip, offering a unique glimpse at royal life.

Two steps lead up to the front door of this traditional cottage which opens directly into the property’s kitchen which is open-plan to the lounge. As soon as guests step inside they will immediately see just how much time, care, and attention has been spent on creating a truly stylish retreat which has been thoughtfully finished to retain an authentic cottage-style charm. The kitchen has a fantastic country-feel to it, with flagstoned floors and an excellent range of equipment including an oven, hob microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. A staircase separates the kitchen from the lounge, an inviting room with plump leather sofas, a fireplace with a flame effect fire, and a TV/DVD as well as some well-chosen decorative touches which complement the character of the cottage and add to its charms. A door leads through to the separate dining room which has patio doors opening onto the garden, allowing the room to flow into the garden on warm days. A wooden staircase leads up to the first floor where there are two delightful bedrooms. The master bedroom has been finished in restful blues and is furnished with a double bed, large antique dresser, and a wardrobe. The second bedroom, just across the landing is a pretty room with twin beds and space to hang clothes. The bathroom is a spacious room which offers a contemporary walk-in shower, as well as a bath and WC.

Guests will love the property’s enclosed garden which offers plenty of space to relax and play and is accessed through French windows from the dining room. A terraced seating area has garden furniture making it ideal for enjoying alfresco drinks in the tranquil surroundings, whilst the rest of the garden is laid to lawn. To one side of the garden, a stone-built summer house provides a lovely place to retreat for an afternoon with a good book and jug of cooling lemonade. In addition to the garden, guests also have access to a larger grassed area beyond the fence which is shared with the neighbouring property and is the perfect space for children to play. There is off-road parking for two cars.

What a beautiful cottage in a lovely area. Very comfortable & clean with a lovely garden for the children & dogs with an additional area out the back. It was lovely to relax & eat in the garden or just chill. Had a couple of minor issues that were dealt with quickly. We would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in great location, lovely garden, dog safe, walks in open parkland outside the front door. Numerous Dog Friendly Sandy Beaches within easy reach, most have parking charges 3 for 2 hours, 5 for 3 hours etc. Lots of good pubs within easy driving distance, plenty of Supermarkets and local shops. Sandringham only 10 minute drive away.

We had a lovely stay at Gardener's Cottage, It is in a small village area, tucked away and so is peaceful most of the time - we did have some noise late into the night on the first weekend from Ivy Cottage. The garden is lovely, very quiet and great for relaxing and safe for the dogs. The settees are not the leather ones pictured, they have changedRead more - we thought a bigger sofa or corner group would be nicer. Great location for seeing North Norfolk, shops nearby (car ride). A pleasant cottage in a lovely location. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the location and the well kept surroundings which were particularly suitable for our two dogs. The cottage itself is small but fairly comfortable and well equipped. It would benefit from better mattresses and a more powerful shower.
