Cley next the Sea is one of Norfolk’s most picturesque villages, famous for its 18th century windmill and impressive 13th century church. The village offers a choice of independent art and craft shops, art galleries and plenty of places to eat and drink. The village is close to a shingle beach, and is home to the NWT Cley Marshes Nature Reserve, the oldest and best known nature reserve in the region. Its lagoons, reedbed and marsh attract a variety of wintering and migrating wildfowl and waders, making it a haven for keen birdwatchers. You can also walk along the Norfolk Coastal Path, and visit charming coastal towns and villages including Blakeney (1.5 miles), Wells-next-the-Sea (10 miles) and Cromer (12 miles).

This beautifully converted single-level former apple store is set in the grounds of the owner’s Georgian village house. It enjoys a tranquil spot, tucked into the lee of the walled garden. On entering this delightful split-level property you will find yourself in the spacious and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The bright and comfortable lounge is an ideal space to relax in, with plenty of comfortable seating, TV and DVD. There’s also a charming dining area, perfect for sharing a romantic meal for two. A couple of steps lead up into the stylishly designed kitchen, which is fully equipped with a hob, oven, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Exploring this lovely property further, you will find a cosy bedroom with a king-size bed. There’s also a bathroom complete with shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, there’s an attractive gravelled courtyard garden with garden furniture, allowing you to unwind and enjoy an evening drink or dine alfresco. Ample parking is available for one car.

Apple House is a lovely little place in a wonderful location. A beautiful, peaceful spot, but only a short walk to the village pubs, deli and bus stop for Coasthoppers to Blakeney, Wells, Weybourne, Sheringham etc. Also walking distance from the wonderful bird reserve at Cley. Welcome pack a lovely surprise! Thank you Pam and Neil.

Lovely little cottage in delightful village, two good pubs for food. Despite the almost constant wind we managed to visit local houses and gardens so spent a terrific week there. Hope to visit again.

Lovely cottage, perfect for 2. Well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom had bath with shower over. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Applehouse. It is a well appointed, comfortable, tastefully equipped and decorated property. The situation is quiet and the accommodation is ideal for a couple. It is in a perfect location to explore the North Norfolk coast.

A great location in a lovely little cottage. Two wonderful pubs, which do fab food, and a local deli and smokery just a short walk away. Although quite basic the cottage gave us everything we needed and was in a very quiet location. We really enjoyed ourselves.
