The historic village of Trunch lies only a couple of miles from the Norfolk coast, close to the delightful resort of Mundesley, where you will find Stow Mill, a beautifully restored windmill. Trunch is a charming and secluded village, with a traditional pub, a village green and St Botolph’s Church, which dates back to medieval times. The village’s old Norfolk flintstone houses have led this to become a designated conservation area. Trunch is surrounded by the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are many public footpaths and quiet lanes which are ideal for walkers, bird watchers and conservationists to explore. The nearest town is North Walsham, and the historic city of Norwich is just 17 miles away.

Access to the cottage is at the side of the property down a shared shingle path to the left, and not through the front door. On entering this traditional brick and flint cottage, you will find yourself in the light and airy lounge, which is a perfect space to relax in, with plenty of comfy seating, TV and a Electric wood burner effect fire. You will also find a lovely dining room with microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The fully equipped and stylishly designed kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, fridge and plenty of work surfaces. There is also a ground-floor bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Going upstairs to the first floor, you will find two cosy but spacious bedrooms: there’s a double room with plenty of storage, and a twin room with views over to the church.

From the dining room, French doors lead you out into the garden which is arranged over two levels. Immediately outside the French doors is a lovely patio area with table and chairs, where you can unwind and dine al fresco. Five steps lead up to the main garden area with a larger patio with table and chairs leading to a lawn area at the rear. There is off-road parking available for one car at the front of the cottage.

A beautiful little cottage in an idyllic village easily located close to all the major tourist spots. The cottage was very well kept and provided everything that we needed. Church Cottage is set in a very pretty village opposite the church. The cottage was welcoming and had everything you needed. We were a couple on our own, I think we would have found it a bit of a squeeze if there had been four of us. Very pleasant garden with plenty of space for children to play and place to sit and enjoy the peaceful surrondings.Read more The kitchen was small but was equipped well and had a modern efficient hob. The door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading the vehicle instead of having to go round the side everytime. The heavy internal fire doors were a bit difficult to deal with sometimes in the smallish areas. Altogether would recommend this property as a pleasant escape from the rat race. Hide

Great location for visiting Mundesley and Cormier beaches. The garden is lovely if the weather is nice. The bathroom is a challenge for kids bath times given its size and layout. Wouldnt hurt to have a better clean but overall we enjoyed our stay.

We've stayed at Church Cottage several years running and find it very comfortable and cosy. The beautiful back garden is a real attraction and the view of the church from the front window is lovely.

This was the first time we've hired a cottage and we're hooked! The cottage was a perfect size for us, in a good location and very clean. All the local people were friendly and helpful We were only going to the Crown Inn pub opposite the cottage on the first night, but ended up eating there five nights about of the seven. We'd happily stay there agRead moreain. Hide

Small interior with too many sprung fire doors. Based on our experience, not very dog friendly at all. Wouldn't recommend.

A nice quiet location with local pub yards away. A lovely large garden to sit out in and for dogs to explore. However as every internal door is a sprung fire door you need to be careful with dogs and makes it awkward for taking food and drinks through them.
