We had a wonderful week long stay. The cottage is beautiful and well maintained and perfectly situated just walking distant to local shops. The kitchen is amazing, it has everything I needed and more. The day room offers a relaxing nook to escape into books or music. Enjoyed catching the dramatic dawn across the pond with its paddling resident duckRead mores. The host very kindly provided us with an extra fan to keep us cool while the UK is overheating at 35 degrees. We had a great time. Thank you. Hide

A lovely old cottage, beautifully extended and modernised. Everything was pristine and all comforts considered. Beds were very comfortable and the area was quiet so lovely sleeps. Books and DVDs galore if you wanted to stay in and relax. Outside areas were very inviting to sit in - unfortunately the weather, for us, was not. Easy walk to FakenhaRead morem town centre. Parking on the gravel / grass area opposite was no problem at all. May be useful to know that the bath has built in handles either side. Really enjoyed our stay. Hide

Absolutely adorable cottage, beautifully equipped and so many adorable nick-nacks. Loved the old weighing machine and the mincer etc. This cottage has an amazing location, so close to the town with its lovely shops and many supermarkets, but feels you are in the countryside, just out the front door and onto a lovely green with a pond. This was usefRead moreul as our dog didn't like to "go" in the courtyard at the back of the property. Lovely local pub on the doorstep too, and nice local walks. Hide
