THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT - we are mid-eighties and slow-moving. I realised that I couldn't clean the cottage with my husband and little dog under my feet so I took them home mid-morning. I returned and got on with the cleaning up after our stay and was finished by about 2.30. The owner was no longer at home and I panicked about the key because I couRead moreldn't remember how to work the key-box. I regret that I had to leave the door closed but unlocked, and the key prominently on show in the room. I had no paper to leave a message. It was an ideal stay for us, only 40 minutes from home. Very quiet, Ideal for a base. A lot of pot holes in the area. Unfortunately managed to get a damaged tyre which meant we were without a car for nearly two days. We noticed that there were signs of the holes being marked for repair when we were leaving! Limited things to do locally so need to be able to get about. Rye is lovely and Tenterden too.
