This enchanting retreat offers countryside views, inviting you to immerse yourself in nature and relish moments of peace. Situated in Heckington, less than a mile from the centre of the village itself, there are plenty of independent shops, and a unique 8 sailed windmill, which is also home to a microbrewery. Two pubs serving local food are also located here, and the local tea rooms. England’s best fish and chop shop 2023, sits half a mile away, and just 8 miles takes you to the River Slea, where you can have scenic walks and a visit to Cogglesford Watermill. Navigation House, an 18th-century canal toll house, adds a touch of history to the waterfront. Sleaford is a pretty market town and sits just under 8 miles away. Quaint villages like Ruskington (7.7m) and Leasingham (9.3m) provide picturesque landscapes and opportunities for countryside walks all in the surrounding area.

This property is perfectly proportioned, with wonderful colour accents offering a warm and inviting space. You are welcomed into an open-plan space, with a well-equipped kitchen and an ambient log burner for cosy evenings after a busy day exploring. There are also chairs and a fold-out table for inside dining, and a comfortable king-size bed which is accessible from both sides for a good night's sleep. The shower room sits just beyond the kitchen, offering another good-sized space in this lovingly put together shepherd’s hut.

Outside there is a large decking area and wood-fired hot tub, where you have unobstructed views of open countryside. Outside seating, a BBQ and a fire pit offer you the perfect opportunity for al fresco dining. There is also a garden house with seating and a WC which can be used if available.

Superb condition and very well maintained, great shower and hot tub. A rural location with a ammeinties within a few minutes drive. Lovely owners who have very well behaved dogs. Definitely recommended for a restful break.

Jane and Roger were fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to look after us and make us feel welcome (as did their dogs). The property is lovely beautifully decorated and equipped. Had a 4 day mini break at Skylark, and what a wonderful time we had. The Shepherds Hut was delightful and was well equipped with everything you need for a mini break, the bed was extremely comfy and the hot tub and the fire pit were both just the job to relax in the evenings. We had a walk into the village where we visited Rubys award winning fish Read moreand chip shop this is a Must! You won't be disappointed the fish was superb! Roger and Jane were the perfect hosts, they couldn't do enough for us! Hide
