There was a hairdryer, however no mirror with a nearby socket to use it. We ended up unplugging the bedside light, and extending the lead to the mirror.

Canal cottage was just what we wanted. An ideal location - easily walkable into the centre of Rye and with plenty of footpaths for walking the dog. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and clean.

This cosy cottage has a lovely decor and feel. It is in a great location, really easy walk into centre. No parking space- parked along road, but be prepared for this as can be busy. Very disappointed in cleanliness which lets it down completely. We had to spend time on holiday cleaning eg grime in the bath, filthy highchair etc. Reasonable comfoRead morert but not most comfortable beds. Squeaky floorboards and top of landing not baby/child friendly. No milk in fridge on arrival despite beingin handbook.

Quality, comfortable accommodation with all the modern amenities ten minutes walk from the centre of Rye. We've stayed around the town many times in recent years and this was by far our favourite 'home-from-home'. This is a lovely property in a great location, minutes from the town and walking distance to the supermarket. We loved sitting in the garden and the furniture was comfortable (I pick my cottages on this basis). Kitchen was the best equipped of any place I've stayed in - plenty of cutlery and crockery, and no weird things you'd never use. I even gotRead more to like the induction hob! We particularly enjoyed Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and Camber Sands (park at Broomhill for the dog friendly section). Hide

The location of Canal Cottage was perfect and parking on the road okay. Beautifully presented and very comfortable. The only slight downside was that the lovely floorboards were exceptionally squeaky however light on your feet one tried to be! However, this certainly wouldnt stop me from booking again. Very nice stay.

Pleasant cottage with all the essentials. Short walk into Rye. an interesting unspoilt old town. Easy access to river bank and parks through the back garden for dog walks without need to go on roads although the footpath does cross a railway. The crossing has lights to indicate train approaching.
