This beautifully presented detached barn nestles in a pretty garden setting. Within easy reach of a selection of amenities and attractions, it provides a great base for couples and small families looking to explore this picturesque part of the country.

Situated in a quiet rural village with splendid country views, you can enjoy a variety of walks direct from the property and the opportunity to spot deer and other local wildlife. Venture out slightly further afield and a choice of attractions can be found all within an hour’s drive. These include Bressingham Gardens and Knettishall Country Park, the impressive cathedral cities of Cambridge and Norwich, and the pretty Suffolk coastline. The nearby market town of Bury St Edmunds offers a wide selection of amenities including a beautifully presented town centre with a large range of shops and restaurants, award winning gardens and a ruined abbey to explore.

On arrival guests entering the barn will love  the floor to ceiling window, offering fabulous views over the countryside, a lovely bright open plan lounge/kitchen/diner a great living space featuring large windows, original features such as exposed beams and stonework and TV/DVD. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine with dryer, dining table and chairs. A shower room comprising of a double shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC. With views onto the garden and patio doors leading out the garden, the master bedroom is the perfect place to relax and unwind, having a flatscreen TV/DVD. From the ground floor the steep spiral staircase leads to a double bedroom on the mezzanine floor, with flatscreen TV.

Outside is a garden area with garden furniture and access to the owners’ large lawned garden with walks running direct from it. There is also a shed with a freezer.

Wonderful week in Weathercock Barn. Spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable. A real home from home, perfect for relaxing and recharging our batteries. Beautiful garden and surroundings. Genuinely friendly hosts- Keith and Sue came out to greet us when we arrived and couldnt be more helpful in their advice . Weathercock Barn was perfect in every way and so nice to come home and relax after being out for most of the day Peace and quiet and wonderful views We enjoyed going to the Farmers Market on Saturday and the local farm shop durRead moreing the week. Superb barn conversion surrounded by fields, very tranquil, with lots of nature, deer, pheasants,... best of all are Sue and Keith, extremely caring, we felt very much at home.

Lovely, peaceful location with far reaching views. Not many places can you lie in bed and watch deer running past the end of the garden. Lots of activities and places to visit within a sensible drive away. This area is a hidden gem often overlooked with lots to offer.
