The Old Pig Pen was a charming cosy cottage. Very nicely styled and with everything you needed for a weeks holiday. We enjoyed the location, footpath opposite the cottage and a good central location for exploring Norfolk.

This is our second stay as the cottage is clean, quiet and well equipped. Ideal location for walks into and around Mattishall, had days out to Oxbrough, Blickling, Holt, Cromer and Norwich amongst other locations, all fairly close by. Having the owner living next door gives peace of mind if any problems. The cottage is highly recommended.

We thought the cottage was lovely and the hosts were lovely. Every little detail was thought of in this cottage, from the mirror on the dressing table to all the kitchen utilities. We came for a few days to relax and this cottage was just perfect for us and what we needed.

Handy for much of N Norfolk. The old pigpen has been carefully renovated into a charming and surprisingly spacious cottage. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. There is a smart TV (new), DVDs, books, local information, a well-equipped kitchen and a very comfortable bed. There was space for our food in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroomRead more, which you don't get in some holiday lets. The owners were lovely, very accommodating and welcoming. Possibly the best of the many lets we've had. Hide

Enjoyed our stay (Sept 2024) at the "Pig Pen." Our impression of the cottage was good. Clean, light and tidy. For us, the cottage needs some minor improvements. Great property, I would definitely visit again. Clean and, apart from a washing machine and dishwasher, was well equipped. The lack of these extras did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the property. Very quiet.
