The perfect size for a couple, two friends or a small family, this gorgeous cottage is set in the heart of delightful Hawes, where cobbled streets are home to a variety of traditional shops and great places to eat. Both the Dales Countryside Museum and the renowned Wensleydale Creamery are within 0.5 miles. A choice of walks from your door will take you to some of the most beautiful sites of Wensleydale, renowned for its many waterfalls. Hardraw Force, Cotter Force and Aysgarth Falls are all within 10 miles. A local bus will take you to the Red Squirrel Trail at Snaizeholme, 4 miles away. For an exciting day out, travel 17 miles to The Forbidden Corner, where you'll find a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and other surprises.
Step through the front door and straight in to the large, open-plan living space, with its rustic wooden beams and softly toned colour scheme. At one end, comfortable seating is arranged beside the ornamental stone fireplace and Smart TV, with a window seat providing a spot in which to perch with a good book or simply watch the world go by. Opposite, the pretty, painted kitchen includes a microwave to help the cook conjure up delicious meals, perhaps using local produce picked up on your days out. The farmhouse-style dining table for four provides a welcoming space in which to linger over your feasts. When you’re ready for some restorative sleep, take the stairs to the first floor to find two tranquil bedrooms, also decorated in muted colours, which share a pretty bathroom.
Although the cottage has no dedicated outside space of its own, for fresh air and wonderful views there are numerous scenic walks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park which you can embark on right from your door. The cottage has the advantage of a private parking space for one car.
