This cottage is in an amazing location in the depths of Grisedale. Walks up and down the valley, and to Helvellyn are right outside the door. There is also a path leading up the fellside behind the cottage which gives beautiful views across to Ullswater. The cottage is very comfortable, and the heated bathroom floor very welcome on cold mornings. RRead moreecommend taking a few DVDs! Hide

We enjoyed our week in Cruck Barn, at end-July 2024. The property was fresh and just right for two people. Very comfortable with all key appliances provided. The reduced telecoms connectivity did not affect us particularly as there is Wi-Fi and most of our devices could connect well. Best bring DVDs and/or a TV FireStick as there is no live TV. Property was clean and well equipped. Cruck Barn has been well thought out, showing the beautiful stone work and beams. Views are absolutely stunning, from all angles. We had a wonderful stay and the peace and quiet was just what we hoped for. Friends are already asking for details from pictures we took.
