This house (actually called The Beacon) is a warm, comfortable and spacious base for a stay in a magnificent area of Scotland. There's a huge living room in the new extension with stunning views of the coast. Kitchen small but well-equipped, generous ensuite master bedroom plus two small but comfortable twin rooms. Easy walk (about half a mile) into Scourie - a pleasant village with good general store, playpark, beach (with birdwatching hide), petrol station, EV charger, and the fantastic Crofter's Kitchen (a sort of restaurant/take-away food van with outdoor seating - limited indoor seating coming soon). Some great walks accessible from the village, and access to Handa Island ferry, Sandwood Bay and Durness an easy drive away. Highly recommended. Hide

A return visit (and plan to come again). Extremely well equipped and comfortable cottage - we wanted for nothing (except perhaps for the sun to have shone a bit more in the 2nd week!). Clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
