If you fancy a bigger walk pick up the Borders Abbey Way in Hawick that takes you to Selkirk or gently meander along the picturesque trails that line River Teviot. If you're keen to learn more about the history of the area you can visit Floors Castle & Gardens in Kelso (26 miles) that sits proudly on the banks of the River Tweed.
