The cottage is perfect for couples seeking a peaceful escape providing ample opportunity for rest and relaxation. For those looking for more adventure, the cottage is well-situated to explore Teviotdale and the Scottish Borders and makes a wonderful base for exploring beautiful gentle walks in and around the historic towns of Hawick (3 miles) and Jedburgh (14 miles). If you fancy a bigger walk pick up the Borders Abbey Way in Hawick that takes you to Selkirk or gently meander along the picturesque trails that line River Teviot. If you're keen to learn more about the history of the area you can visit Floors Castle & Gardens in Kelso (26 miles) that sits proudly on the banks of the River Tweed.

The cottage's interior is a great blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. After a long day, unwind in your own private hot tub before heading inside to light the wood burner and settle into the comfortable sofas and chairs to watch your favourite movie on the Smart TV. There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare warming candle-lit dinners to enjoy at the dining table before retiring to the stunning stone-built 'Bothy' with its own bar area, dart board, log burner and Bluetooth music system. When you are ready to retire you will find two bedrooms, one king-size and one with zip and link twin beds, with beautiful interiors and bed linens with a chest of draws, and plenty of hanging space. Finally completing the accommodation is the downstairs shower room.

Heading outside there is a hot tub and seating area, or guests can choose to take a leisurely stroll through the estate’s beautiful gardens. For some proper deep relaxation guests can also while away their time unwinding in the castle’s very own luxury spa which includes treatments, a steam room, and a relaxation room.

A lovely cottage kept to a good standard. Did manage to drive past it the first day when we arrived as it was not completely obvious from the direction we came. Great facilities and a good location for commuting to Edinburgh and other local sights.

Although I have added 2 x comments on very slight improvements, the cottage was excellent, the log fire brilliant and the hot tub huge. Loved the week we had and would seriously consider coming back maybe in the summer months so we can enjoy the scenery and area more. The Staff and the Orangery were top notch and more than chatty and helpful. In alRead morel well done guys Hide

Great place to stay for all ages. My 99 year old mother accompanied us and was so pleased with access - rails to the rear and flat access at the front. Wide hallways and doorways for a walker. It was a treat for her to be so comfortable away from home. And my son and family - residents of Hawick visited and their child enjoyed playing on the grass Read morebeside the cottage. Beautiful Cottage. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The setting was stunning. The cottage was clean and had everything you could need for self-catering. The bed was SO comfy! The dog loved the garden, it was secure enough to feel safe to leave her sun bathing when nipping in and out. We left feeling really recharged. Thank you

Cottage was very homely and comfortable made our stay very relaxing and being able to use the hottub at night when it was dark outside the fairylights made it very magical.

This property is not suitable for dogs, as there is no outside space where dogs can be let out alone to "do the necessary". Many easy escape routes out of the garden space straight on to the main A7. Pheasants in garden and adjoining fields will also act as catalyst for excitement and escape.
