This fantastic stylish lodge located in peaceful setting enjoying magnificent sea views over the splendid Luce Bay. Located in the hamlet of Auchenmalg, within walking distance to the beach the immediate area is a paradise for walking and biking with the beautiful Stairhaven Coastal Circuit that’s right on your doorstep to explore and mountain bikers will be thrilled with the nearby 7stanes at Kirroughtree. Easy reach of the pretty historic villages of Glenluce and Portpatrick where you can enjoy a high-speed RIB boat trip, or a wildlife cruise around the Rhin’s of Galloway. Or travel further afield and catch the ferry from Cairnryan and visit Ireland.

Stepping inside this luxurious single storey stylish lodge, into the hall through to the spacious open-plan light and bright lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge has comfy seating surrounding the Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker, perfect to relax and unwind looking through the floor to ceiling windows enjoying magnificent sea views over the beautiful Luce Bay. The dining area has a large dining table perfect for romantic or family gatherings, also with floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the spectacular sea views and French doors leading out to the enclosed decked area with private hot tub. The kitchen is the perfect place for cooking up a storm with electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and a handy dishwasher. Next is the utility room with washing machine. Continuing through the hallway you are met with the delightful 2ft 6 twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a king-size on request) with a Smart TV. The stylish bathroom, has a shower over bath and WC, located opposite the twin bedroom. Finally, the beautiful master king-size bedroom with a Smart TV and stylish en-suite shower room and WC.

Venturing outside onto the large patio area with an area of astro turf, you will find the wonderful private hot tub with magnificent sea views over the beautiful Luce Bay. There is also a charcoal BBQ and seating area with comfortable table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing. Or relax in front of the roaring fire pit and enjoy the wonderful sea views, perhaps with a wee dram of good local ale or a nice glass of wine. There is ample private off-road parking, to the rear and at the side of the property.

Amazing lodge, with everything we needed and more. Owner was very friendly. Location was perfect. Stunning views from the Lodge plus loads of places to visit. We had a very enjoyable stay in the Lodge! The views were fantastic and the setting was very tranquil. The Lodge itself was very warm and comfortable and well appointed with everything you might need to make your stay an excellent experience. Beautiful accommodation of a very high standard. Friendly helpful host. Wonderful views of the sea and countryside. Relaxing in the hot tub at night staring at the stars is a highlight of our holiday especially when we saw a shooting star! Will definitely return.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend and the weather did not dampen our experience it was just perfect. The lodge has everything you could want, great location with views over Glen Luce bay, the hot tub was lovely and cosy on cold nights, perfect after a long walk around the lovely countryside. The most relaxing holiday weve ever had! Location is a hidden gem and so very beautiful. Derek (owner)was so kind and helpful, recommending places for us to visit. Our boys (10 +8) had the best time. We will definitely be back!

A wow lodge with a view to die for. Excellent facilities throughout the lodge and the outside space was excellent for an evening tipple. Enjoyed watching our neighbours (the cows) walking from field to field. Would recommend a trip to Glenwhan Gardens and had a lovely lunch in Port Patrick. All in all Dumfries & Galloway is a lovely area to visit

What a fabulous place to stay! We loved the views over the sea and the hot tub. The lodge is also very private. Just had the most wonderful week at hillside lodge. Everything that could be provided was provided. From the bath robes to chilled Prosecco. Watching the farming world work around us (Have a new found respect for tractors) Derek was very helpful gave us the benefit of his local knowledge. Went to both places he recommended. Such an amazing lodge, has everything you could possibly need.
