Set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in the small town of High Bentham, this character cottage is a comfortable base for families or friends keen to explore countryside and village life. You’ll have footpaths on the doorstep and rural roads for cycling, with the River Wenning meandering through nearby meadows. The Forest of Bowland (21 miles), the Three Peaks area around Ingleborough (6 miles), and Clapham and Ingleton (both 7 miles) offer rewarding days out, while High Bentham’s high street provides shops, a tourist information point, pubs, cafes, and Chinese, Indian and traditional fish and chips takeaways. Golfers can test themselves at the local course with views towards Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside (all under 15 miles).

Inside, the ground floor centres around a spacious kitchen leading to a dining area framed by feature barn windows, ideal for unhurried meals after a day outdoors. A separate sitting room invites you to unwind by the open fire, with a wooden floor adding to the classic cottage feel. Also on this level is a thoughtfully designed twin bedroom that can be made up as a king-size on request; it sits next to an adjoining bathroom with a shower cubicle and WC, fitted with grab rails to support those who need them.
