We enjoyed Spring Lake and the lovely location of the property. The view from the lounge and main bedroom was very good and we found it relaxing. We enjoyed visiting Cirencester. I must say that the property seems "tired" & in need of some tlc. I would not class it as a "luxury" property. A big problem as soon as we arrived was that the plug inRead more the upstairs bathroom sink was stuck in place. The lift rod that works the plug/pop up stopper , did not work and the plug was firmly stuck. My husband was on his hands & knees trying to fix this and eventually removed it. The property details stated a microwave was included. There was no microwave. We also did not find a coffee maker. There was an umbrella in the patio table but the freestanding , broken umbrella stand was also left on the patio. A slightly rusty clothes airer was also on the patio. There were no waste paper bins upstairs. One would have been helpful. We couldn't get the towel rail to come on in the upstairs bathroom. We would like to return to the location but would prefer not to stay at this property. Hide

The property needs some TLC arriving with a young child, there was quite a heavy boat wheel decoration on the under stairs door, she touched it and it almost fell on her head. Thankfully she caught it okay and it didnt hit her, we understood then that it was on there to hide a hole in the door and only held in with quite a flimsy screw. The table oRead moren the decking wasnt useable to eat at, as it was breaking apart and too wobbly. Cushions were also missing from the chairs outside and the parasol for the table. There was a microwave, coffee machine and a BBQ stated as being there on the listing, but were missing from the property. Also some parts were missing from the air fryer and the grill tray for the oven was also missing. The smaller bedroom definitely needs some TLC, holes in the carpet and the radiator is falling off the wall. There are also lots of holes in the walls from previous pictures etc that need filling. The decking lights werent working, and we had to replace several light bulbs in the property to use some of the lights. The cleanliness of the property was poor. We had to clean several things before using them, including the extractor fan as it was dripping grease on the oven top and the cushions on the outside furniture also needed cleaning before use. Half the oven isnt working, the main part and hob does but not the right hand side. The toilet seat on the downstairs toilet was hanging off so we had to fix that for our visit and there was no lid on the upstairs toilet seat. The towel rail in the upstairs bathroom was burning hot, but the towel rail in the downstairs toilet didnt work. There seems to be an issue with moths at the property, the second bedroom seems full of them. Possibly due to the holes in the carpets, or visa versa? Also a maggot was found in the small bedroom. There wasnt many wine / champagne flutes, only 3 in total. The single bedroom blind cord was dangling down without its child safe clip. We still had a lovely time staying there as the location is beautiful, views are stunning and its a very calming environment. But think the place could do with a deep clean and some repairs and replacements of missing or damaged items. Hide

We had a lovely family stay by the lake with our two teenagers, the lodge has all the amenities needed for a relaxing week, we enjoyed a meal at Waterside kitchen and bar and loved our visit to the nearby Cotswold sculpture park.

What an amazing place to stay if visiting the Cotswolds. The lodge was situated away from the main entrance which made the location quiet. The lodge itself was a decent sized property for two people & would be amazing for a group party of friends to stay. Being located at South Cerney you are literally an hours away from surrounding sight sighting Read moreattractions and within reach of rolling countrysides lanes...Great communication with owner if anything goes wrong. Will definitely book again...! Hide
