This holiday property is very cosy and comfortable. A former blacksmith’s forge, it is now a lovely detached cottage at the edge of Brailles village. Upper Brailes is a characterful village with some fabulous walks originating from it. Visit the village website and consult Jim’s Walks which details up to ten different circular walks – most of these walks are dog friendly. Further afield, visit Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Oxford and Bicester Village for shopping or sightseeing, and the RSC theatre is also within reasonable driving distance. The ancient market town of Shipston-on-Stour is great for antique shops, local pubs and eateries.

On arrival at the holiday property you will find an entrance hall leading through to the lounge/kitchen/diner designed to embrace open-plan living. The lounge area has a comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, and a wood burner to keep the room warm and cosy in the evenings. The kitchen area comes equipped with electric oven and hob, a microwave and  fridge with ice box.  Use of a washing machine can be arranged. The bedroom contains a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as twin singles on request). There is an en-suite shower room with WC for convenience too.

Outside is a south-facing courtyard that can be an effective sun-trap, and is also ideal for that evening glass or two of wine, creating a great space for you to relax in the comfort of your own holiday home. Please note due to the location of this property a car is essential.

We had a good week. The extras provided when we arrived were excellent. There were some really good walks in the local area, details were available at the property. We only used the car for two of the days.

A lovely comfortable place to stay with everything necessary provided including unexpected milk and coffee and biscuits. The internet connection only ever worked for a few moment which could have been a problem. A nice local area for walks from the door and near enough to all that the Cotswold area offers.

A charming little cottage, compact but plenty of room for two. The large bed was very comfortable and everything was immaculate. Shipston-on-Stour is only a short drive away for shopping and we were able to visit lots of places in the Cotswolds and around Stratford on Avon.It is a good base for visiting the area. We spent a very pleasant week.
