Just a ten minute walk away from Porth Beach, Jasmine Cottage is a character cottage situated in the village of St Columb Minor on the outskirts of Newquay.  This delightful cottage has been carefully and sympathetically updated by the owners who have retained many of the original features such as exposed stonework, original beams and very high ceilings (Ceiling Height 7ft 6" to bottom of the beams); the result being a traditional cottage with a contemporary twist. The owners have thought about every aspect from the minute you walk in to make your holiday a great one. Offering the perfect layout for family holidays with a relaxed open plan living/dining area with French doors opening onto the rear garden and kitchen equipped with it all! This cottage is great any time of the year with an open fire with glass safety doors making it cosy and welcoming even in cooler weather. Upstairs there are three well-appointed bedrooms with luxury quality bed linen and towels, including a master with a four-poster bed with en-suite bathroom and a separate shower room.

With a small courtyard to the front and delightful enclosed back garden you can enjoy the sun at all times of the day. The back garden is fully equipped with everything you could need and the added extras of a surfboard rack and solar heated shower, just perfect for when you're back from a days' surfing. Just down the road you have a fantastic pub 'The Farmers Arms' where all are welcome including the dog! Ideally positioned for great walking routes including a 10 minute walk to Porth Beach where you can pick up the Coastal Path, opposite the cottage is the 'Goats Trail' which takes you through the valley towards Watergate Bay. Only a 35 minute drive from the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens or Heligan or a 20 minute drive from the bustling town of Padstow.

GARDEN & PARKING: Free parking for 1 car is available at the Farmers Arms (permit provided) with additional parking in the church car park, and the village square (please refer to parking instructions found in cottage). Small enclosed patio to the front with bench. Enclosed garden and patio to the rear with garden furniture and barbecue and outside hot and cold shower.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Pet Welcome: Maximum 1 dog (additional x 1 by arrangement); £25 per pet per week. Information about bringing your pet
Power and Heat: Gas & electricity included in rent; gas fired c.h & hot water, open fire (basket of logs provided).

Jasmine Cottage has all the home comforts you could wish for in a compact old, but well modernised cottage. The kitchen was very well equipped, everything you could wish to know was covered in detail in the info folder. The 2 bathrooms were really useful and a fantastic use of space. The side entrance was great for getting sandy surfers and dogs inRead moreto the lovely and quirky back terrace, to be showered off outside before re entering the house. Friendly local people, pub and social club. Lots of great walks from the front door. Good bus service into Newquay and to places such as Padstow and Constantine Beach, if you dont always want to take the car. Easy walking distance to nice beach at Porth. Hide

Had a lovely stay. Cottage had a old rustic feel to it which we loved. Perfect for are little dog having enclosed garden. Nice Pub just up the road which is also dog friendly. No problems in parking. Lovely and clean. Good walks to Newquay Town center. Would definitely stay there again.

The house is furnished with a lot of love. There is nothing missing, the equipment is really very good, especially the kitchen is great equipped. The place St Columb Minor is very special. But the pub is ok and the parking is very close. In addition, you can walk to the beach in 20 minutes and by car you can quickly reach supermarkets and Newquay. Lovely place. Pretty garden. Nice local pub with excellent food. Cottage very clean tidy and nicely located for travelling around
