Set in the peaceful countryside and close to the dramatic Cornish coastline, this welcoming holiday cottage sleeps four guests and offers the perfect base for couples and small families. The popular surf town of Bude (3 miles) is known for its three golden beaches – Summerleaze, Crooklets, and Widemouth Bay – all ideal for days of surfing, swimming, and relaxing on the sand. Keen walkers and outdoor enthusiasts will love being close to the South West Coast Path (3 miles), which invites you to uncover hidden coves, panoramic sea views, and plenty of local wildlife. Further down the coast, the historic village of Tintagel (19 miles) is steeped in Arthurian legend and home to world-famous castle ruins. Slightly closer, the fishing village of Clovelly (17 miles) charms with its cobbled streets, art galleries and breathtaking seaside scenery.

Step inside, kick off sandy shoes in the entrance space, and head deeper into the home to uncover comfortable and characterful accommodation centred around a quirky, split-level living space. The stylish and well-appointed kitchen boasts everything needed for cooking up Cornish feasts, which can be enjoyed at the nearby dining table as you plan tomorrow's itinerary. After dinner, a couple of steps lead down into the inviting lounge where exposed stone walls and wooden beams combine with large windows to offer a light and airy space full of character. Unwind here after days of adventure; sink into the soft seating and find your favourite shows on the Smart TV. When it's time to call it a night, two restful bedrooms with ample storage and crisp linens promise a great night's sleep. Served by a family bathroom, these rooms include a master double bedroom and a cosy twin.  The Twin Bedroom is on the upper level and can be reached by a narrow Spiral Staircase

We have just spent five days staying in Foxhole. This holiday cottage needs much attention before it could be called 4*or even 3*. We initially chose it for the amenity of a tennis court and packed our kit, only to find huge weeds all over the courts that rendered them completely unplayable. The cottage was clean, tidy and paceful, but very old fasRead morehioned. There were only 5 hangers in the tiny wardrobe, no tea towels or a cleaning cloth in kitchen, no plug in the bathroom sink and the hot water was hit and miss. All basic complaints maybe but we have experienced that these (basic) things always come with hiring a 4* holiday home. For the total cost of the cottage (over 100 per day) we were very unimpressed. Please amend this listing to be more realistic so others arent disappointed too. Hide

We had a lovely holiday here. The cottage is in a brilliant location and very well equipped. We did find that it lacked a wow factor, but it had everything we needed. The bed is comfy with nice clean bedding. As per a previous comment, the spiral staircase is very narrow and so the twin upstairs bedroom wouldnt be suitable for everyone. We were juRead morest a couple, so didnt use it. Not the owners fault, but the advertised tennis court and outdoor play equipment is run down and not fit for purpose. If you can get past the run down nature of part of the surroundings, and concentrate on the beautiful fields and views that surround it, then youll have a good time too. The cottage was nice but there is no warning the spiral staircase is exceptionally steep and narrow, this needs to be in the description. Totally unsafe for my 6 year old to get up in the night for the bathroom so she had to sleep downstairs with me and her dad sleep upstairs. He barely fit through the gap! The location is good but facilities reallRead morey run down. Tennis courts overgrown, chess pieces present but no board! There was a childrens room that was locked up and run down. It wouldnt take much to bring it back up. A pity really. Not 4 stars at all! 3 maybe. Hide

Amazing for location although the overall site feels rather rundown with the onsite facilities not being a positive.
