The cottage is located in the quintessential Welsh town of Fishguard on the Pembrokeshire coast. The town is a hub for restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops, plus local galleries have sprung up if you have an eye for art. The ferry port is just 2 miles away by car so this is a great location to spend some time at the coast before heading over to Ireland. For days out at the beach, you can try the pebble beach at Goodwick (1.5 miles) or head nearby to beautiful Newport (7.6 miles) which has a gorgeous dune-back golden sand beach to enjoy, plus a selection of bars and cafes in the town. Head South to Abereiddy (11.5 miles) and explore 'The Blue Lagoon' a must visit in the area.

As you enter the cottage you are welcomed straight into the cosy lounge area. There is a three-seater leather sofa and an armchair, centred around the wall-mounted Smart TV and a coal effect electric fire. There is a large sideboard to the rear of the room and lots of music memorabilia dotted around adding to the character of this property. Head through to the kitchen diner, where there is bistro style seating for four and an adequately stocked kitchen to make and prepare meals during your stay. Completing the ground floor is a convenient wet room. Up to the first floor you will find your two bedrooms. The quirky cottage features continue here so guests must be advised that there is reduced head height in places, which just adds to the charm. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds and a built in wardrobe providing plenty of hanging space for clothes for all guests. Please note, due to the reduced head height the bunk bedroom would only be suitable for 2 children or just 1 adult.

Externally, the property has a large rear garden with a lawn and decorative gravel areas. There is outdoor seating provided to dine al fresco or enjoy a cool drink in the sunshine.

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 king-size and 1 bunk room
  • 1 wet room - shower and WC

  • Driveway parking to the front of the property for 1 small car and additional private parking to the rear

Very comfortable cottage. Well supplied kitchen, comfortable bed, and cosy sitting room, plus an outside seating area and garden and plenty of parking. Fishguard is a delight, a nice town and a pretty harbour.

Everything you could need (fridge too small but thats the only negative for me), very comfortable and a helpful information book. Fishguard is absolutely lovely, the locals are friendly and the cottage is ideally located for the local shops, pubs and restaurants which range from 1-15 mins walk away.

we enjoyed a comfortable week and found the owners notes very helpful. He had thoughtfully left phone chargers and toothbrushes in case any one had forgotten theirs.
